What an awful shame about Forestieri missing out. Probably hurt himself putting a tampon in.

Have a feeling we may end up playing them in the PO semi-final. Bring it on!

They'll just go and loan another few players.....Find it ridiculous the amount of loan players some of the teams around us have ...

    • Derby had a whole forward line agianst us on Friday...Bent , Ince , Linghard, and until recently also had a winger from LIverpool
    • Middlesborough have about 5 in their squad plus their most influential player Bamford...take his goals away and they would be ordinary
    • Ipswich have a few....Chaplow just signed on loan scored their winner V Watford
    • Sure Brentford have a couple of key players incuding Pritchard from Spurs
    • Watford is a crazy situation....should not be allowed...if they dont go up they can just ditch them so no financial damage
If we make the play offs or better at least its with Wolves players , paid for by Wolves who we have given lon term contracts to....

Was saying the same thing - Thankfully the ridiculous situation with Watford's limitless loans from abroad from a couple of years ago cannot be repeated, but 5 in a squad still seems excessive.

These players on loan at these clubs are hardly bit players, they are mostly key figures at the club. Problem is it is highly unlikely they will sign them on a permanent basis and will therefore lose them next season. Glad we have a team of young and promising players that are signed to us

Exactly the point.....Most of them above us are loaded with Key players on loan from the Prem......They cant lose....Go up they will be able to sign them with the big bucks you now get....Dont go up , just send them back to their parent club so not stuck on big contracts....Then do it all again next season.......

Derby losing Martin to injury seems to have also had a major effect on their team. Teams always have 2 or 3 key players whose absence changes the whole dynamic of the team.

McDonald is probably our most indispensable player, but I think we also struggle without Price, Sako, Batth, Stearman and possibly Dicko!!

Having 3 or 4 key loan players puts you on a back foot next season. Unless you are able to sign them you would need to go out & get a couple more players in of the same quality to fill these gaps just to tread water.

It's ok if you're using the loan market to cover for injuries but building your team on them...

Someone was saying with high wages and expensive loan fees you will see more and more of the Championship 'safe' sides loaning their better players to those fighting it out for the promotion places.

    3) Middlesbrough
    4) Watford
    5) Ipswich
    6) Wolves

Personally, I think Derby will be in the reckoning, at the expense of who I really don't know.

I think Norwich will sneak 2nd. I don't think Derby will drop out so 6th is between us and Ipswich.

Still can't believe the FA discharged him after his antics at Molineux
