Some guy was singing what I guess must be an old Wolves song on the train home on Saturday, it started 'Walk tall, walk tall......' and went on about spitting in the Albion eye as well?? Anyone know the full lyrics to what seemed like a classic??!

Also did anyone else see it kick off with the Sunderland fans at Doncaster Train Station about 7 o'clock??

  2. Didnt hear that song, were you on the train back to new street?

In carridge 3 we had a guy singing.. Wolves are gonna win today... willie carr and hibbitt make there play the ball is crossed by eves and out of nowhere comes the head of andy gray.... Wolves are gonna win today :) A proper classic!

I was on the platform when some old bloke decided to shout 'we are wolves' to some sunderland fans then the cans of beer and punches started flying... not a nice experience god knows why the police didn't keep both sets of supporters separated on the platform...

Song is a variation on this one..

Walk tall, walk straight and look the world right in the eye
That's what my mama told me when I was about knee high
She said son, be a proud man and hold your head up high
Walk tall, walk straight and look the world right in the eye

Just managed to miss the trouble at Donny station. We walked up the stairs straight into about 50 Coppers who had just pushed a load of fans onto a train. Copper said it was Sunderland and Hull fans - and strangely he said Leeds too?? Sheffield and Doncaster stations must be hot beds on Saturday evenings judging by the amount of Coppers around. The Copper didn't even mention Wolves fans. Considering there were 3200, I was supprised how few went by train (mind you we were on early and later trains so maybe I just missed them).

We were in the carriage one from the back, there were some right inbreds on our carriage.

Did you see the train manager?? She was very easy on the eye!!

To be fair the Police were struggling because their train and ours were departing from either side of the same platform and were heavily outnumbered.

  7. The train manager was hot! :) She got a fair bit of grief from some of the lads on the carriage i was on but took it well. One of the guys at the other end of the carriage i was on said to her 'whats your name then love' her reply was to you its 'train manager' :)

Was surprised when we entered the train station the amount of police there, then i saw the train times board which said 'train from hull delayed due to rowdy football fans' so the police were well aware of what was coming. I didnt hang about when it all kicked off, i jumped on the train that went to sheffield then got back on the train the new street when it arrived in sheffield later on.

Actually his website (yes I'm sad I've just Wikipaedia'd him) doesn't actually state what type of music he sings (yes he's still recording) but just states he's been making music since the 50's.

Whilst we're on a song theme, does anyone know the lyrics to the SEB Wolves No9 song they were singing in the right corner on Sat. Sounded great, but could only pick out a few words, including GBH!
