I looked and could not find anywhere to put it all.

So New thread, if someone else can find somewhere to put the lot then feel free to move it.

I expect to see In's at Wolves but no permanent deals out.

Hunt and Doyle out at Reading, with a few in's.

No out's at Blues but a few in's.

Gow in For Wolves Not a bad start

  2. I would be amazed if Reading lose any of their top players for exactly the same reason that I think we'll keep ours.

Why would they want to leave a club battling for automatic promotion to walk straight into a probable relegation battle?

They'll wait until the summer, and if they're not in the Prem with Reading, maybe then they'll go.

Doyle and Hunt will go to higher than bottom clubs.

    My predictions is

    Hunt to Villa
    Doyle to Everton

If a club like villa for example bid for Doyle or hunt i could see them wanting to leave. Any club with a good chance of getting into europe next season would be attractive to any player.

Other way around for me - the big thing is how they use the money - Coppell seems pretty canny and could replace them without suffering a drop in forward power.

  6. They may lose players because the owner is not so committed/wants out/would like or needs to recover funds due to the economic situation?

    Well scratch that............

David Moyes "No one out, and no one in"

  8. If Madejski ships out Doyle, Kebe or either of the Hunts, he'll have certainly deserved his knighthood if you ask me........

Given up on Bullard then Big Ed? :)

  11. Is this not a bit premature GW or do you know more?

  12. Wolves - Id still like us to get Joe Ledley in if not too overpriced and a left sided Kevin Foley if such a player exists!!! ;o)

In terms of up front, no further investment currently required in my view. We're also pretty well stocked at centre back and in goal.

If a centre mid becomes available who would improve our starting line up then we should bring him in but id like to see Davies given a chance at some point this season rather than bringing in further squad/ backup type players.

Reading - To lose Doyle and Stephen Hunt (Hopefuly) and then unable to tempt any new meat to the Madejski.

Blues - To lose Mcfadden and Ridgewell to lower prem teams.

  13. Please let Blues keep Ridgewell.

I don't think Doyle will leave Reading unless Villa come in for him, I can see Hunt going to Blackburn, Sunderland or Newcastle (when they realise Kightly is going nowhere)

Wigan bid 5m for hunt according to todays sun - one of the papers also says gow at 0.5m to us

  16. Hopefully Doyle & Hunt go right at the end of the window so there's no time to replace them!

Wigan reportedly bid £5m for Hunt triggering his release clause. If he goes you can kiss bye bye to Reading's promotion challenge.

I disagree. He's not been hugely influential this season so far. They've got much more in the tank, losing hunt would weaken them but not to the point their season would be over.

Regarding ledley, he is over-priced at £6m. We won't be spending that on a player in the premiership let alone in the championship. Likewise delph.

    Agreed.

The only thing that will stop them getting promoted would be long term injuries to key strikers as they are very short of cover.

    Doyle
    N. Hunt
    Long (poor)
Lita (out on loan likelly to leave)

He has set up 75% of there goals.
Doyle has scored nearly a third of there goals.

I would suggest losing them will be the end.

Hunt's quality in delivery from both Corners, free kicks, and open play, makes him more important to Reading than Doyle.

Stoke spent £5m on Kitson which was a panic buy so i can see us splashing big money if the right player is available.

Exactly, Hunt is top quality. I would love to have any of their front 3.

Reading striker Leroy Lita, who is out of contract in the summer, is a target for Everton and Newcastle with both clubs attracted by the £350,000 price tag. (News of the World)

    Just to prove the point...

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes believes he can beat the 'Big Four' to the signing of Leeds United youngster Fabian Delph. (The Observer)

However, Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson sees the Leeds midfielder as the long-term replacement for Paul Scholes and is putting together a £10m deal for the England Under-21 player. (Sunday Express)

I have said it before, Doyle is the one that scores the goals. Its very difficult to replace a goalscorer. Hunt is a good player, but doyle is the matchwinner in the reading side.

Quashie looks like he may be on his way to newcastle according to one of the sunday rags. Alex Mcleish has mentioned he is looking for more flair in his side.

Guaranteed to go down if that happens. Has Quashie lost his Jinx title yet? Is it 3 or 4 clubs he's taken down?

If Middlesborough lose Downing they will target Hunt from Reading

If they lose Downing they will be taking one of our places in the CCC next year...

Although they do have a fair bit of fire-power up top...Although they never seem to be on form!

Portsmouth and West Ham are having all their best players linked with moves away so i can see Boro saving themselves as they do have Johnson to come straight in to replace Downing. If they sell him which i doubt they will, they wil use the money to improve their side.

West Ham, Pompey, Stoke, West Brom could all be weaker than boro by the time the window closes on Feb 2nd.

I like the way Man Utd have done it. Signed 2 players the first day then Ferguson states thats us done this window. Bish bash bosh over.

Along with Gow I still want 2 more midfielders in pretty quickly, we have some important games coming round quickly.

  39. Why would they replace an out and out left winger with a centre forward?
