Iwelumo was 40/1 before the season began IIRC. Wish I'd have betted something on that now!

He was only 23-1 on 17 August when I stuck £10 on him.

I got 13-1 on Ebanks for the same amount.

No Ross McCormick either so im not sure Doyle missing has any relevance. Unless that is we are signing both of them?

doyle only just signed a new contract though. of course that could be a way to force the price up but his body language seemed as though he was very happy to be staying and having his future resolved.

it's not like he has to move or he'll never make the premier league, reading have every chance of a quick return and the club have already proved that they are capable of winning promotion and giving him top flight football. if they'd wanted to cash in on him, they couldve easily done that upon relegation but they wanted him to remain and fire them to promotion, something which is still completely possible.

    Doyle signing means nothing.
Someone comes in with a bid and he'll go.
The second hand car dealer, will sell, needs to sell

but reading don't need to sell, they had bids in the summer but turned them down, they have parachute money and a millionaire chairman, and the strong possibility of a quick return to the greed league.

hunt might go though, but that's on his wants, i'm certain doyle will see the season out.

I don't know - I think Doyle could go, because he is undoubtedly a prolific goalscorer. I believe that the contract was just to get more money for him because, people will pay!

I don't understand why Doyle would go and SEB wouldn't.
    Have I missed something?

Doyle's proven so a bid will be coming in.
The second hand car salesman, has said sell before buy.
    We don't need to sell.
If they drop many more points they may well be left chasing 2nd with 2 other teams Sheff and Blues.
    Size of club.

SEB won't go as we are genuinely charging away at the top, no-one would leave us in January in this form.
Doyle might as as has been mentioned they've wobbled the past few games and are now 6 points(?) behind Birmingham with Sheff Utd not far behind.
Both will want Prem football and will have it next year IMO, but I reckon SEB is much more likely to try get it with Wolves than Doyle is with Reading.
