I must admit I never initially understood the dislike toward the ticket office or the website, it was never perfect but my experience over the past week is beyond a joke.

I have 1 supporters number which I purchased my season ticket with. A couple of weeks ago the website said my account was blocked, "please contact the club" error message when logging in. So I did, they said they'd blocked it because I had purchased a large amount of u17 tickets. Correct. For my 16 year old brother and his mates who have recently got caught the bug. (All u17, may I add)

This time, they unblocked it as I explained why would I be buying u17 tickets for myself when this supporters number is the one I have my season ticket against. Then this week... the same again. And this time I have contacted them 3 times and each time they have said they've unblocked it, which is clearly not the case as I'm still blocked. So I went to the TO yesterday to buy 2 adult tickets for Ipswich & Millwall, along with tickets for Blues away. They told me AGAIN they had unblocked my account but I am still unable to access my account.

To stop this from happening in the future my brother registered an account... guess what, his has been blocked too and told to contact the club. So my father tried to register one for him... And guess what, the same again. "Please contact the club".

It's almost as if this club doesn't want our money or support, which means ANOTHER trip to the ticket office to speak to an incompetent cashier who will probably try and fob us off again. Complete and utter joke of a service.

They have probably blocked your IP address so all requests from the same IP address are rejected. If you tend to leave your broadband router switched on try turning it off and on again after a minute. With most internet providers this will usually give you a different IP address.

It's probably also worth deleting any cookies stored by "wolves.talent-sport.co.uk" if you know how to. (e.g. in Firefox via options/privacy/show cookies/ then search for talent-sport/then delete the cookies). Or it you happen to have more than one browser program installed on your computer such as Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari then try using a different browser from what you usually use.

I'm not saying any of these will definitely work but it is worth a try.

Totally shambolic! At times they make you feel like they're doing you a favour letting you support the club.

"Wolverhampton Wanderers FC" and "customer focus" should never, ever appear in the same paragraph or indeed the same page.

To be fair to the ticket office they would need to know exactly how the talent-sport software is working. The club may have unblocked the account but if the talent-sport software keeps automatically reblocking it for some reason then Wolves need to refer the issue to talent-sport to explain why.

Someone phoned WM who lived in Ireland and came over for the odd game but being as they had only recently purchased tickets for Blues ii, they were barred from getting in the ground and were sent away. These were men in their 50s and 60s so unlikely hooligans and even went to the to in person. Crazy times we live in.

Why were you trying to buy u 17 tickets on your number for them anyway?

Sounds like you were trying to get a cheaper away ticket for yourself and got caught out :D

The away ticket was for me and I purchased an adult one... the query was with regards to the home tickets. Never ever purchased an u17 away ticket. (U21 maybe ;):D)

I'd give the ticket office a call again tomorrow if you can, see if they will process an order manually with no booking fees as their system is at fault. Failing that try phoning into WM at 6pm or tweeting Tim Nash to see if they could get the media to take this up or maybe try emailing the club to make a complaint. I think it is Lynne O'Riorden who deals with fan complaints but maybe someone who knows better than me could confirm.

Despite generally being less than complimentary about the way the club is run, have to admit always had an excellent response from Lynne.

Probably something to do with age verification.

If you think about it it does sound like you're trying to get cheaper tickets (not casting any aspertions) when an adult season ticket holder starts buying U17 tickets. I had to provide proof of age for my kids that is now held on record at Wolves for when I buy their tickets.

Found it incredibly awkward to use myself, getting tickets for the Derby game. Seats available, choose them, not available. It was almost like playing a game. An annoying one.

I am not disagreeing with any of this but my word what a rigmarole .All to do with Control .They make things so damn difficult and rip fans off along the way-Forced to go down the PC route to renew season tickets, premium rate calls, flaming booking fees, and they keep getting away with it.

Agree with that, it seems more of an automatic IT issue than one with the ticket office. Can't you set up a friends & family thing on your account? Saying that they probably do need to be registered also but it only takes 2 minutes to do one time.

I must be the only one on here who's not had a problem with the ticket office.

My only dealings these days are by phone (except for S/T renewal) but I've always found the staff helpful, polite and efficient.

The extortionate phone charges and booking fees are another matter entirely.

Touch wood I've not had any issues with the TO but from what's said in the OP they don't exactly do themselves or the club any favours and really need to sort out what seems a very simple issue.

Yes, Stefan's obviously having a really poor experience. It's reported that people from the club read this forum and for the sake of P/R they should promptly sort out the problem, apologise and offer some sort of goodwill gesture.

True Jonzy. Not only that they have the cheek to charge a £6 admin fee on ST renewals for what is done by an automated system.

Baboon, I've not had any problems with the ticket office either. At least not since my ticket for Albion away failed to turn up in time. Going back a bit though. That was the year Rob Hindmarch scored a late equaliser! And I wasnt there to see it even though I'd bought a ticket.

    Fully agreed.

It's always a shame when you read bad things about the club but these things invariably happen I suppose when you have a large customer base that covers so many aspects, eg tickets, merchandising, tours etc etc.

Just hope SW gets it sorted.

And as an aside to this issue I should add it's not just Wolves it seems to annoy their supporters with these things at times.

My Ipswich supporting mate who is coming to Molineux on the 18th ordered his ticket for the game last week. He's been a S/T holder at Ipswich for as long as I can remember. When he phoned to book his ticket they told him he could only do so at that time via the online service. He didn't know why and didn't bother to argue but does seem strange.

Now that really is a mistake. Not wishing to rub salt into the wound but I've still got my ticket stub. Block L (Smethwick Corner), Price £6.00. One of the scruffiest but most celebrated goals I can remember.

    I completely sympathise Stefan.

Without any shadow of a doubt the worst and most upsetting experience I had with Wolves was down to the customer service of the Ticket office. It was in the 2009-2010 season. My dads final season as a Wolves fan and he had not been for years due to ill health and due to a almost fateful timing of Wolves promotion/him getting better we brought him one. However, he was sat in a poor seat, two rows from the front on his own and I just got it him with the hope that come the "seat change period" we could get him one next to me and my son. To my joy our happy ending was to come because I found out the lady next to me was not renewing.

So come early June, I took my dad up to the ticket office and promptly got him the very seat right next to me and my lad Ritchie. We was delighted and could not wait for the season to start.

Unfortunately, his season ticket arrived shortly before the season start and the seat had NOT changed, and it was the original seat two rows from the front, in the corner, shoved by where the bad language with the away supports and police are. I could not envisage a man of his age and health putting up with that.

I phoned Wolves up, almost in tears and was appalled they offered not even any attempt of sympathy to our situation. Of course no other seats were available, they were many but on there own and in similar positions, but by that point I did not want to know and neither did dad.

He went to that first home match of the season, against West Ham. He hated every minute of it, could not see a thing and could hear all but vitriol between the two sets of fans. He never attended another Wolves game after that.

I can remember that goal like it was yesterday.

I was located behind the goal slightly to the left about cross bar height. Had a perfect view of the goal and then it all went blank for me.:D

It does seem strange so out of interest I've had a quick look at the Ipswich website. It does clearly state on there that tickets can only be bought online or in person at the club shop. I wondered if that rule perhaps applied only to selected games where a high demand is expected so I looked at their game at Huddersfield on Easter Monday. The selling procedure is exactly the same for that one too so it could be Ipswich's general policy to sell only by those methods. I really hope we don't go down that route as I like to phone the T/O and request a ticket in an area that I prefer and they always do their best to help.

What a strange set up indeed but they may/must have a reason for this policy? But agreed hope Wolves don't adopt that type of set up.

My mate doesn't do any other away games all season other than Wolves and that's only because he knows a few of us travel up. Can only guess he knew nothing of this practice due to only usually doing home games.

Essex, if you want to stay on good terms with your mate I'd suggest you don't mention that Daily Mail "biggest club" survey. It seems the Ipswich fans are furious that they are ranked 37th while their Green & Yellow rivals are way above at 23rd. Ipswich are even below Huddersfield and Portsmouth which seems a bit harsh.

That is shocking. Although I am not surprised after my experience over the past week or so, their customer facing staff are completely incompetent.

Update - my brother went to the TO today and purchased 7 u17 tickets in person - no issues at all. He asked as to why they'd blocked his online account & they couldn't explain... & they said they'd unblocked his account... but guess what. Still blocked!

Only had one issue with the T.O. and involved me trying to purchase a ticket for a Canadian friend and Wolves fan, making his annual pilgrimage to Molineux. Was told I couldn't buy a ticket at the T.O. as the tickets weren't available but could buy it on line.

I'm afraid that my calmness disappeared with their logic, and my stubbornness multiplied exponentially. I walked out with a ticket, printed off in front of me. I won't embarrass the person by naming them, who understood the situation and managed to achieve something that I'd previously been told was impossible.

As I say, just one experience and it ended okay.

    Appreciated Fleet.

It was not so much the fact the error occurred. Everyone makes mistakes in life, that's just the way it is. However the fact the club did absolutely nothing & in particular showed a lack of care for the situation, left a very sour taste to say the least to the club he cherished, and the club I now cherish because of him.
