Just a thought that popped into my head after o'Hara's visit this weekend.
What could be the most vilified 11 that could be put out. Players that have either let the team down on or off the pitch. That at some point have received rough treatment from the crowd (not necessarily for poor performances) but for poor attitude. Where the relationship has just broken down so badly it becomes embarrassing. Or who just left with a bitter taste in the mouth and would not be welcomed back in any shape.or form. I need a little help with a couple of positions and some may not agree with one or two but I've gone with:

    Hennessey
    Muscat, Johnson, Westley, ?????
    Hammil, O'Hara, ???????, Mcindoe
    Claridge, Camara

He was dropped so he would want to leave as the club needed to shift him because of his wage. He has always and will be a better keeper than ikeme, all our coaches knew this hence why he got shoved in ahead of Carl at a tender age and then kept him out quite easily. Dropping down allowed us to ulilise Carl ( who's wage was much lower ) and Wayne was treated a bit $$$$ by KJ. He shouldn't have refused to play but is he any worse than the club who prevented him playing due to the wage they gave him!!! Thy wanted him gone off th wage bill and did what they had to to get that which ultimately caused the whole sorry affair

Could distinguish here between players who were hated/disliked for some/all of the time they were at the club (Claridge, O'Hara) and those who were hated for the manner in which they left the club/what they did after they left (McIndoe, Camara).

Some squad members for the former, perhaps:

    Paul Jones
Stefan Postma (maybe mass indifference rather than hatred)
    Darren Anderton
Lee Naylor (I liked him, but he got a *lot* of abuse)
    Adrian Williams
    Michael Gilkes
    Steve Corica
    Robert Taylor
    Simon Osborn
    Luzhny
    Gunnar Halle

    For the latter:

To be fair, Rat Camara, was only vilified when he left. In a Wolves shirt he was one of our better players.

It's not meant to cause offence. I'm sure there is a section of the crowd that would give him the bird. Who would you replace him with? I struggled for the keeper tbh.

Iwan Roberts scored a hat trick at the Poorthorns, regardless of what else he did at Wolves that is enough to keep him off this list.

While I can see the angle you are going for, we don't know that for absolute sure.

Also in the same Iwan Roberts argument, Fletcher scored 3 in 2 against the $$$$ in the PL and kept us there for an additional season single handedly. Not almost single handedly, he was entirely the reason we stayed up.

I'll stick with Matt Murray's opinion on who's the better keeper between Hennessey & Ikeme (& even himself) thank you very much. Is everyone forgetting how Hennessey never commanded his area or inspired confidence in his back four? Or how we needed to bring Hahnnemann in to get that defensive confidence back

Definitely Paul Jones in goal because he was so unbelievable useless during his second spell and it was criminal that Michael Oakes was dropped for him. Fortunately Oakes got his place back in the 04/05 season.

I always liked Hennessey, but I never entirely forgave him for his pathetic effort at Blues away when he basically got backed into the net by Jerome (I think).

I don't generally hate former players, but Claridge is probably top of my list as I think he never wanted to come and didn't really try when he was with us, he just waited for his value to fall until Portsmouth could afford him.

Annoyingly I don't mind his as a pundit.

I must be a Big Softie

There are only two players I don't have any time for

    1. Rodge the Bodge
    2. Jamie O Hara

I limited what I wanted to give out to JOH due to Sir Jack, only gave him a short earful when he ventured to the South Bank....he heard me ;)

All about opinions fella, you've got yours (& people who agree with you) & I've got mine (& folks who agree with me) Would be boring & a little Stepford Wives if we all agreed with everything, that's what make forums so interesting

Hennessey is the better Keeper, moved for a decent fee, plays/played top flight football, international recognition. He was just a bit immature for me when younger.

Walsall - The thing that sways it for me is that Jarvis played & didn't tweet out like he did.

After a very silly head butting incident, which he got sent off for he was told in no uncertain terms that he we would never play for Wolves again by Graham Turner. IIRC.

Booing opposition players simply detracts from giving the team support so it would have to be a total $$$$ to deserve that.

Whilst not surprised, I was pretty disappointed with the booing of O'Hara tbh. Wolves fans had a perfect opportunity to rise above this and make the day 100% about SJH, which they did for the most part but that small amount was still a bit of a shame, and whilst it did go wrong for him it wasn't just the part of his life that involved kicking or not kicking a ball for us, his injuries and loss of form contributed to turbulence in his personal life as well. In the PL this kind of thing happens all the time so we had better get used to it if we ever make it back. O'Hara still for the most part tried and produced some decent performances especially in his loan spell.

Johnson has never hid his disdain, he was signed as a captain - a leader - with an emphasis on responsibility from his experience. I would be quite happy booing him. Halford couldn't keep his mouth shut and so deserves it as well.

Paul Jones - well you can blame the idiot that signed him for that.

Kightly - I'd probably boo him as well. Whilst he stayed off social media he engineered a move having done the square root of $$$$ all for two years.

Yea, that awful fellow, a local lad who cost a pittance and went on to become our most successful captain in 3 decades.

Some of our 'fans' have a warped sense of what is a villain.
