Having seen highlights of todays game, it is'nt romantic, its simply because the big clubs are'nt bothered.

The performances of Manu, Chelski, Citeh, Liverpool were nothing short of embarrassing. Shame on those clubs.

I tell you now (mark my words), WBA will win the FA Cup -these days its made for a well drilled lower half team like them who take it seriously.

Jealous I am indeed, but its not half a joke competition these days. The top clubs may as well drop out rather than give 80%.

Typical of us to fluff it like we did when the last 16 looks the way it does now.

There's plenty of upsets in the earlier rounds that don't involve 'big clubs'. Chelsea and City especially fielded very strong teams yesterday.

I just don't think they view it as much else than an annoyance of a competition.

So when's the "give the FA Cup winners a Champions League place" thread going to start again?

Contrary to popular belief on here I think big clubs do take the FA Cup seriously. Silverware is silverware and can keep a big club manager in a job if they fail with the league, for example. Why wouldn't Chelsea or City make a lot of changes when playing lower league opposition? Their fringe players are generally all mid level premier league footballers at least.

Yes there were lots of upsets yesterday but for instance Mourinho said after the game that Chelsea were embarrassing and he was ashamed. So obviously he wasn't happy.

The last 20 FA cup winners have all been Arsenal, Chelsea, United, City or Liverpool with the exception of Wigan and Portsmouth. So you can hardly say the big clubs don't bother with it.

Course they do. Did you see the side Chelsea had out when the match was at 2-2?

City wiped the floor with Boro in the first-half and really pushed for a goal but Boro got lucky and played well in the second-half.

Man Utd are just a poor side playing a formation and style that doesn't suit any of their players.

Liverpool, again, are just distinctly average bar Sterling.

If they all walloped those 'lesser' sides yesterday we'd be moaning that there's no point in the FA Cup anymore.

I personally think Stoke will win the FA Cup and I'm going to have a fiver on them at 20/1 before they play tomorrow night. If they win tomorrow, guessing their odds will drop quite a bit.

Great gesture by Bristol City today. A free scarf on every seat.

We've been suggesting this for years. Just wait till the team come out against West Ham, It'll be some sight to see.

I hope my pals at Wolves are watching, you know who you are. Lol.

Wolves are more guilty than anyone for taking the competition seriously.
