The three home games are massive Watford and Ipswich as it will allow us to close the gap on them considerably and then in the same weekend we have Derby those two meet each other.

Know it's an old cliché Waggy but lets just take each game as it comes.

Wolves don't tend to do things to form. Draw at home with a late equalise against BHA then win at Watford, just an example like. Too inconsistent meaning anything could happen:D

Middlesborough, Ipswich and Wolves will profit most from these stats, as the 3 with the most games against opposition who will come at them because they also need to win. The ones against mid-table sides are the trickiest, because they can afford to park the bus and will be hard to play through. Of those 3, we are the best counter-attacking one, so I see us getting into the play-offs, injuries notwithstanding.

Not wanting to state what some might say is the obvious but it's imperative that Wolves take max points in their home games versus Ipswich and Watford.

Nothing can be done now regarding the sides Wolves have already played twice but against those they still have to face who are pushing for promotion then not losing is essential and a sneaky win would be a massive plus.

Wolves will need a good run of form, the tinkering of the team must stop,a few losses and the dream is over , a few wins and its game ON....

Note that Forest play 6 of the top 8, including ourselves.

Agreed you want the players to do that but none of them are as daft as benoit assou the spurs full back who didnt know who they were playing when he turned up for a game.Kj will have memorised those fixtures and so will the more experienced and savvy players.

Which we do not have, as quick as we are to win a couple we can lose a few. We will come up 4/5 points short of the play offs.

Brentford look to have an easy time of it then, mostly playing teams who will have nothing to play for and in theory a motivated top 6 chasing team should blow them all away.

We need to start winning regularly at home to stand any chance of playoff football. Home form has been our Achilles heel to date ... Far too many sloppy points dropped. It's inconsistency that has cost us dear... maybe this can change if Afobe can stay on fire ?

Think there's going to be plenty of unexpected results from now till end of the season.
Norwich are looking really good at the moment though
Playing the mid table teams who might have little to play for can be an advantage come end of the season, then again they can relax and express themselves.. The bottom ones fighting for their lives are difficult too. Wont surprise me if a few in the top 6 get nervous and drop a lot of points.

Of the sides above us I can only see Ipswich possibly getting the wobbles.

    This season is a one-off.
It is probably the weakest Championship ever and it will take a record haul of points to make the play-offs.

My guess is anything between 79 - 82pts to sneak in.

The problem is 9 more wins and a draw or two is unfortunately beyond us and we will end up gutted, ruing a missed golden opportunity.
(2 decent signings pre-season or even last month would have sufficed)

Obviously I pray I am wrong and we not only sneek in, but we win the final as well. UTW !

Such a shame the pos are not in our own hands. Silly dropped pts and a disastrous November has probably left us with just too much to do. SM will rue his lack of ambition in the market, esp when he can see the difference Afobe has made to the team. I mf player with BA's abilities may have been enough?

You are so right NNW. Wolves picked up just 1 point from a possible 15 in November. They were tough fixtures but just picking up another 4-5 points would now see Wolves on 55/56 points whilst they would have taken points from some of those teams they played during that spell making things a lot closer.

Now that would be a great day and I said weeks back I'd love a PO final versus the Tractor boys.

Can you imagine what it would be like on here if we were to face MM in the po final. Even more fun after the match, whichever way it went?!
