The current bottom 3

  1. In the premiership, being sunderland, blackburn and wba, will be the three that will be relegated.
Sunderland have only recently slipped but they have players like Nosworthy at centre back, who is poor and despite quality in other places (Cisse and Jones can be excellent if inconsistent) ive never been impressed with their style of play.
Of course Keane will probs get to spend a fair amount in the transfer window and keep them up. Cant see that happening with many other teams down near the bottom.

    IMO, evidently

  2. Funny someone else should say that. I was watching MOTD last night and when the table popped up i thought "they will be the three to go down".

    Sunderland can't defend.
Ince can't get Blackburn firing at all and still doesn't know his best team.
And Albion just can't score. Take yesterdays game, much the better team but lost 2-1.

There are a few fairly average teams in the Premiership this year.
Stoke and West Ham are the other teams that will trouble the bottom 3 in my opinion.

  3. yeah west ham are in free fall, stoke arent very god but are well organised are work very hard, plus they have taken sheer physical presence to the extreme and it is paying off for them, every goal they score is a result of bustling play or winning the ball in the air, not very attractive but effective, seems many teams this year round are quite weak defensively.
Bodes well for wolves i hope

Blackburn lose again, and Tottenham still not out of the mire as they lose to Everton. Agree the current bottom 3 are in trouble but there's not really all that much between those at the bottom right up to Bolton in 9th (Bolton on 20 points, Sunderland on 15)

A team in freefall doesn't get 4 points and concede 0 goals from the last 2 games.
    WHU 0 Portsmouth 0
    Sunderland 0 WHU 1

I had a tenner on Blackburn to go down at the start of the season.

Looks like I might be celebrating come May.

Stoke will go down as well as WBA plus a.n.other. Possibly Blackburn, possibly even West Ham if they don't improve any more.

Sunderland have been on a bad run but their form will improve IMO.

I don't see stoke being relegated at the moment. They continue to pick up the odd point. Am I right in thinking they've already played a number of the big 4?

I'd take West Ham Sunderland and Boggies - WHU will probably have to sell players in January due to their awful financial situation Sunderland are rubbish after flattering last season and Boggies well.........

Really? I'm interested in the title and relegation races in germany, italy and spain and maybe at times even scotland, france and the netherlands. Do other fans' interests in football stop at wolves?

They apparently stop at the immediate next fixture for Wolves. You can't look beyond that.

WBA and Blackburn very likely to go down, but I think Stoke will stay up (this season anyway -- drop like a stone next). Keane could be one game from walking away -- whether he does or not, they're my third candiate for the drop.

  17. West Brom, Stoke and Bolton please.

    Hate them all.

Albion seriously need some quality brought in January otherwise they're $$$$ed. I'd like Ince to keep Blackburn up, but I find Bolton the most detestable club in the country with a horrible ground with horrible fans playing horrible football for a horrible manager.

Though I think it'll be Albion, Blackburn and one from Bolton, Stoke and West Ham.

I seem to be alone in hoping Albion stay up, they won't unless they get a goalscorer but I think it would be excellent to play Villa, Albion and Blues in the premiership.

Ideally I'd like us to go up and stay up, and Albion to come down then go back up, as yeah it'd be good to play them in the Prem, and this way we'd have an advantage. If they stay up this year and we get promoted, they'll murder us! If Villa, Stoke, Albion, Blues, Wolves and Derby(?) were all in the Prem next season it'd make a lot of tasty games.

  21. And it would annoy the London-centric media no end, which would be an added bonus.

The more established prem teams that go down the better for the teams coming up the following season.

So I'd love it if 2 of the new teams can manage to stay up and send the likes of Bolton, West Ham, Blackburn and Sunderland down. Even Newcastle would be class.

Personally I'd like the following to be relegated:

    Newcastle
    Spurs
    Albion

Newcastle are a joke and deserve to go down based on how shambolically they've been owned, run & managed.

Tottenham to me are the side that best encapsulates the London bias and snobbery. Spurs fans seem to think the world revolves around their team, and that they have a god-given right to be winning major trophies and the focus of everyone's attention. In actual fact they've been crap for years, and aren't underachievers - they're at exactly the level they should be.

I can see Sunderland going down and possibly Newcastle. Albion look a bit lost and certs for relegation, for some reason I don't mind tempting fate with that, it wouldn't bother me too much if they stayed up really. Like someone said, with us looking strongest placed to go up we want some of the more established teams to come down to give us a chance of a foothold. Spurs won't be relegated IMO, Harry's just too good. They're still in the thick of it, but imagine if he hadn't come in, they've won a fair few since he arrived and still are near the bottom, would've been miles adrift otherwise!

  25. Id enjoy established teams getting relegated not to help give us a foothold, but cos its would shake things up a bit in the prem which would be more interesting, cant have the same teams yo-yoing all the time.
    $$$$ the establishment etc :p

    If it's a question of likelyhood;
    Stoke
    Blackburn
    WBA
    But if it's a question of preference;
    Fulham
    West Ham
    Spurs
(Since I am allergic to London clubs, London accents, newspapers, politicians, TV newsreaders, pop singers with accents, London beer, jellied eels, Heathrow airport)

  27. If Keane stays Sunderland will join Blackburn and WBA but I can't see that happening now. Most likely is that a new chap will come in and will get 30million to keep them up. So its Stoke for me if Keane goes.

Albion, Newcastle and Blackburn for me. Particularly Newcastle, they're a massive massive club who've won naff all in 40 odd years! They're really really massive though mind. Probably one of the most massive clubs in the world mind hinnie. Why aye.

I would like to see Hull and Stoke stay up this season.

Next season they will be known about and will drop like a stone.
West Ham, are cash strapped, so them to stay up, meaning they will have to sell there players, and go down next season.

Pompy are really cash strapped, Crouch, Defoe, Capmbell, James, etc all on huge salary's.... So they will certainly have to trim their squad in the close season.

Fulham to stay up, as I think they will struggle next season too

Blackburn might get out of it, because Ince will (hopefully) be sacked and possibly Big Sam to take over. Harry's bubble seems to have burst, although Spurs probably have enough decent players to be safe (too good to go down!). I think all the financial stuff around West Ham might take its toll and Keano will probably just leave Sunderland, as he has a habit of bottling things at times! I have a feeling that Stoke and possibly Albion might just scrape it!!
