Do we even care for a preference??
They will ALL want to avoid us. ...
On paper, the winners of today's game would be the easiest opponents. However, it's the cup, so anything could happen.
I'd prefer Man City, Milwall or Brighton over Watford.
A bit of a daft reason I appreciate, but I'd rather not have to spend the day avoiding Millwall fans around London to be honest, so anyone but Millwall will do.
The winner of Brighton or Milwall please.
It means we are one win from Europe.
You have very good reason to say that, matey.
Whoever draws City will presumably be playing on the Saturday as they play Spurs in Champions League on the following Tuesday. So it depends whether your preference is a Saturday or Sunday game.
I just want it to be a happy day out with colours on show loud and proud, not scuttling around London on the Tube not talking through fear of being battered round the corner!
Brighton would be nice, very rare we play them in the FA Cup
I am hoping we play Brighton in the SF and Watford in the Final!
All things considered, for the country and undoubted universal appeal, the best outcome would be for us and Citeh to be on course to meet in the final.
The interest with what might lie on it with two power teams meeting would be phenomenal.
Will need them balls warmed/iced up nicely.
Praying that our game is on the 7th.
My wife’s cousin is getting married on the 6th and my little girl is a bridesmaid.
To make it worse, the whole side of that family, including the bride are Watford fans. Has the potential to be the greatest or worst day ever...
Tell them blood is thicker than water and yours runs gold and black! The pack is your family!
Well if we play Watford you could incorporate the game into the wedding celebrations
I'll pray for you Tring.
Can I have your ticket if you can't make it
Don't think we'll play Watford on the 6th though as it seems likely to me than City will play on that day whatever the draw.
Who the **** organised that!
whoever is going to take less fans (more tickets for us)
A bit harsh on Watford, who are a point behind us in the League. City would be expected to play either them or us in the final, so I don't imagine they will be fiddling with their balls.
Personally I think Watford v Wolves would make an interesting spectacle, with European qualification at stake. City would be expected to win, whoever they play.
It’s not even her first wedding. I went to her first one nearly 19 years ago and had to miss a Wolves game for that as well...
Maybe I’ll try and argue that this one won’t last either...
Well to be fair I don't think Watford are as massive as us or in the hearts and minds of people worldwide like we will now be. Make no mistake over our rocketing situation.
Do agree though on a domestic level and with what could be hanging on it a Wolves-Watford final would be good too.....particularly with the 7th place situation up in the air too.
Tell her you'll pay towards the next one?
She’s got bad form on getting married in the football season, you say it’s your wife’s cousin not yours?
Yeah. Not my side of the family.
Would be a much easier decision if my little 5-year old wasn’t a bridesmaid.
If only the dates could have worked out the other way.....with the wedding after the cup game.
The mad shapes you could potentially have been throwing on the dance floor at the reception....'aeroplane' being one. .....
Me too Tring. My wife bought me a gin experience for my 50th a couple of weeks ago and we are staying over on the 6th in Market Harborough.
Anyone remember those Steve Parish comments before the Donny v Palace cup tie where he said they were in the same half of the draw as Brighton and Millwall? If that is to be believed we have City.
Please please record that conversation and share it
Happy 50th Neil!
Would prefer to draw anyone but city which by the sound of it would mean our game will be played on the Sunday.
Surely Watford and Milwaal/Brighton will want to avoid City not wolves and City probably won't give a toss who they draw as to them we are all mid table sides that can give them a game on their day but they are currently far superior to.
Throw a sickie!
Be honest, how much do you like the cousin?
Your options are,
1. A row with the missus, and **** off the cousin.
2. A lifetime of a memory and a funny story to tell for years to come.
I haven't excluded City, merely pointed out that non of them would really be wanting to face us at all.
This includes City if they could choose......they know we would be very, very difficult.
City in the semi please
Me 3. My little girl is booked in to have a bronchoscopy on the 6th, it’s literally the only day of the month the children’s hospital do them. Tried to play the operation down to the mrs and suggest she would be fine without me. Didn’t go down well.
I'll tell you what would be a pain. Getting City in the semi, beating them after having already beat Utd and Liverpool and losing in the final.
Presumably you could watch the video later?
I’m supposed to be on a two night romantic break with the missus Sunday and Monday night so hoping we play in the Saturday, otherwise she’ll be in the hotel
By herself on the Sunday
A few on here saying City next, why on earth would anyone want that? I want the easiest route to the final; Millwall, Brighton then Watford, in that order.
I'm sure left to her own devices, she could get over it.
Always another time to be able to make it up, and better.
I quite enjoy being the underdog
After the season we've had, being knocked out by Millwall, Brighton or Watford would be hugely disappointing
Watching the game on currently I can't see Brighton or Millwall being overly troublesome.
