I can't see any major changes really, I hope Afobe is not played out of position so I expect Sako to come in for him that's about it.

I'm hoping he put's someone else in for Edwards also but he'll only do that at halftime after no shots & 0-0

Anybody got any snippets yet from various places?

Read somewhere, can't remember where, that KJ may go for a 4-4-2 and play Dicko and Afobe up front together with Sako back on the wing?

My worry is it will be 4-4-2 but with Afobe dropping deep, as long as he plays more advanced that Edwards generally does I suppose it could work.

Agree, 4-4-2 with two strikers - Afobe & Dicko.

But if we play 4-2-3-1 one of Afobe and Dicko must sit out. Best team, not best players.

Should be an interesting team selection, would like to think he will be attack minded, We are at home after all, would love to see Dicko, Afobe and Sako all starting.

    Either 4-4-2

Kuszczak, Iorfa, Stearman, Batth, Golbourne, Henry, Price, McDonald, Sako, Afobe, Dicko

    Or 4-2-3-1

Kuszczak, Iorfa, Stearman, Batth, Golbourne, Price, McDonald, Henry, Van La Parra, Sako, Dicko

Agree, I can't see Edwards being dropped in our 4-2-3-1 but I'd like to see La Parra in the hole & Henry outwide for a change.

Shame Van La Parra can't shoot but if we want to play 4-2-3-1 he just has to replace Edwards in the hole. He'll frighten teams with his pace and it means if Kenny wants to change it at half time we won't end up with Dave out on the wing again

VLP has to play. He's been double marked since sako has been out. If you play him and sako , we will be such a threat.

I was never a fan of Clarke, however it was obvious to all he was a better player in a two man striking attack. If the talk of 4-4-2 is true, why was this never considered when we had Clarke in the squad? It's not a question of having no faith in him as he was given plenty of game time.

I expect a defensive set up of 4231 against a team that will come to defend and play on the break so I think it will be:
    Kuczsac
    Iorfa Stears Batth Golborne
    Price Kmac
    Henry Edwards Sako
    Dicko
What I would love to see is us get on the front foot from the start with an attacking 442 leaving us open for a counter attack but we'll be good enough at the back to deal with anything they will have. Get 3-0 after an hour then play 4231 slow boring possession football but by now the crowd are in full voice and loving it. So this would be my starting line up:
    Kuczsac
    Doc Stears Batth Golborne
    RVLP Price Kmac Sako
    Afobe Dicko

    Play Henry in the hole.

I'd play Henry and put RVLP on the bench. Bring him on for Sako after 65.

Henry is too slow on the wing, in home games. Play him or Edwards in the hole.

All I know is if the team don't go for it no matter what one is picked then they have learn't nothing from the last 2 games & the negativity from the transfer window will kick in.

I want to see shots on goal, pace & tempo with attacking intent from the outset. If we go an early goal up, keep on going for once & get a few more. Lets just start playing with some speed & confidence again & not be frightened to have a go.

Yeah maybe Dic for Iorfa could be a bad move. I thought long and hard about that and came to the conclusion Doc could offer slightly more going forward. How many assists does Iorfa have this year? No doubt he has done fantastic so far but in our position we need goals and more goals. Just a thought. I wouldn't have any problems with Iorfa keeping his place. Dont think it would be 'madness' to bring Doc back in though!

Agreed, which is while I feel he could be of use playing inside with his technique & skill on the ball as he does work hard & can tackle.

Strange as this may look but possibly a

Thankfully. Looks average at best and Jackett seems intent on shoehorning him into the team somewhere. Don't see what he offers.

I'm talking about overall as a different option I know he's currently injured, Rowes left foot & workrate gives it a nice balance.

He isn't a left back we all know that but it's hard to judge him when he hasn't played that much.

Evans for Price & Doherty for Iorfa, no Sako, Afobe on the left wing.

    Anyone want a ticket?
