I'd like to see a starting 11 of Ikeme, Iorfa, Batth, Stearman, Hause, Van La Parra, McDonald, Price, Edwards, Dicko and Afobe. Not quite sure which formation we could play though unless Afobe can play right wing?

Don't think it's right to drop Edwards after scoring 3 in 2 games.

They've been playing well recently, ignoring the Bournemouth game. I don't think we should be underestimating them. Stick with what works and make sure we get the win. A steady 2-0 will do me just fine.

Blackpool will sit deep, Edwards needs space to break into. He will struggle against them watch.

As they are going to be competitive in the midfield why need a 3rd midfielder and why play a midfielder that only scores goals when you can just play a striker.

If a team is competitive in midfield. More reason to play more men in there!!!

Noticed most have gone with Iorfa (or some with Lorfa :D) at right back.

Having listened to the Blackburn and Fulham games on the radio there seems to have been quite a lot of criticism of his positional play i.e. being sucked in too close to Danny Batth, leaving massive gaps wide.

I have only seen him play on tv (Watford game) so keen to hear observations?

Blackpool have been playing with 2 upfront (any 2 from Delfouneso, Davies and Sene all 6 foot plus) with 3 in midfield with O'Hara free to rove. They push the fullbacks on. My mate who is Seasider says they are vulnerable at centre back to quick strikers. He says that O'Hara has looked dangerous in flashs and takes the free kicks. I think that Price is mobile enough to counter the O'Hara role and Hause and Iorfa should be quick enough to neutralise the overlapping full backs. Hopefully Edwards will occupy their central midfielders.

    I would play:

    Ikeme

    Iorfa Stearman Batth Hause

    Henry McDonald Price La Parra

    Edwards

    Dicko

    With Afobe on the bench.

That sounds sensible-hopefully we will be 3-0 up, with twenty minutes to go, so that Afobe can come on and completely demoralise the tiring Blackpool defence!

Now that Afobe has signed don't see any reason to have Clarke on the bench or even at the club now.

Would like to see the following side, but I think it maybe to soon to start Afobe, another full training prior to the Charlton game is different though

    Ikeme

    Iorfa Batth Stearman Hause

    McDonald

    Henry Edwards. van La Parra

    Dicko. Afobe

Very attack minded I know, but we are not playing Barcelona on Saturday, without the risk of sounding complacent, because that definitely not

    For me:

    Ikeme

    Iorfa Batth Stears Hause

    RVLP Macdonald Price

    Edwards

    Dicko Afobe

Think we have to go with the players in form (notably Edwards & Dicko) and also I don't think we have a strong enough option that warrants keeping out the new blood so we may as well start him.

RVLP edges it for me based on last night & although at times frustrating going forward, he does seem to have added the tracking back to his game that is required. I did think Henry looked poor also. With 3 other central specialists he'll probably be required/given freedom to roam between the different flanks.

Macdonald & Price seem to remain our best pairing in midfield - Evans for me looked to poorset of the 3 starting CMs last night.

Think he'll stay tbh. This signing means more than likely that McAlinden and Cassidy will get loans rather than Clarke leaving

Do people think that ND and Afobe will line up together or rotate? I'd love to have 2 pacey front men tbh but wonder if we have the mf to support this?
