Just been told that Stafford have asked Bully to leave his position.

The club are in major financial trouble. All players have been told they can leave.

  2. Hard luck Bully, I hope that he finds another job in football management. Stafford Rangers for half a season was not a fair test.

  4. Shame for the guy.

The door is open at Molineux for him though surely?

I wouldn't mind offering him a coaching role at Molineux of some sort. Striking coach?

So he's not been sacked, it's for financial reasons?

Rangers have been financially stricken for years.

The players were asked earlier in the week to take a 50% pay cut but they refused so they were all put on the transfer list.

Simmo, got anything happening for the window? Justin Jenkins is on fire AGAIN! I'm doing work for Lincoln and Forest at the moment (mainly kids, however), would like to hear if you are needing anything from my patch etc. What age groups and positions are you interested in?

Hardly surprising really, Bully had already taken a pay cut by 50% then had it cut again 50%. Players are leaving to go to clubs some 2 or 3 leaues lower on less money but they are guaranteed to be paid. Also when the club got broken the other night the only thing taken was a stewards jacket.

Thats Bully you're talking about. If one player of recent times deserves to be shown some respect...

A couple of people I work with who are Rangers fans are happy he's gone. They're still of the opinion that Phil Robinson leaving was when it started to go wrong.

  20. Gutted for Bully - I hope he gets another chance again soon. It must be very frustrating to have to leave due to things other than performance.

    Not remotely funny.
Didn't I read that you were putting less thought into your posts? It shows.

I agree with that. FWIW, I don't think the chronic home form helped him, just 3 goals at home this season is a farce really, but Bully had the backing of all of his players.

The only problem for him now is where can he go from here. I can't see another Conference / Conference North club giving him a job, and would someone like Bully really step into the Southern (or UniBond) League if a job like Halesowen, Stourbridge or Hednesford came up?

Will he get another job now? I hope so, but doesn't seem that likely sadly. I know Bully wasn't in Keane's class as a player, but he was still a full international and widely well regarded player, you'd have thought a bigger club that Stafford might've taken a punt on him... of course Keane played under Ferguson though, don't get much of a better education than that.

Every the team was being run badly with the lack of results on top then Bully had to go. It is not disrespctful to suggest he may not be that great a manager at this time. Hope he has better luck in any new position!

It's sad for me to se the demise of Stafford Rangers. I used to watch them back in the 70's when they were a relatively successful Non-League side.

You are obviously too young or just plain stupid to make comments like that. Please repeat that to any Wolves fan over 25 the next time you visit the Mol.

You really can't beat this site sometimes for holier than thou and sometimes mock outrage, just to be seen to be outraged. I am over 25 and both from looking at results and speaking to friends in the know at both Wolves and Stafford Rangers that the general concensus is that Bully can't manage worth $$$$ (besides having player respect for being and all round nice bloke), and was paid handsomely to do so (maybe not relative to the manager himself but certainly for the league he was in). My comments were no slight on SBs playing career and loyalty for Wolves but some people hold him up as some sort of deity and take all things Bully far too seriously, which is pathetic, frankly.

For once, a professional footballer who can say something like this and actually mean it and actually has the record to stand it up. Seems like he's been shafted there.

sorry pablo, but we dont know if bully can manage for $$$$ or not yet. I personally dont think he is manager material, but there is no way to tell from his time at stafford. He does seem to have had the rug pulled from under his feet there.

All fair comments, although early indications are that he's not exactly a natural.
