Suppose it sort of makes sense if he does leave. If Wolves sign Afobe then along with Dicko, McAlinden, Clarke and Doyle they have plenty of cover.

    Doyle not wanted by Pardew

Like to see them both move on and that's no judgement on their ability.

The major plus for me yesterday was the performance of the 2 young fullbacks and the team in general. Hopefully we are on the cusp of a new beginning with all the young players and potential signings - no time to look back.

The more finances we can free up for KJ the better. As far as i'm concerned, they can all $$$$ off.

    Hope this goes through.

Remaining bomb squad members now Foley's gone:

    Johnson
    Doyle
    Boukari
    Sigurdarson
    Margreitter

Boukari was never part of the bomb squad.
Sigurdarson had his chance, and even though I like him, Jackett doesn't seem to do so.
Margreitter is injured and I feel even Jónsson got more of a chance.

Yes he was (and still is). Jackett sent him out on loan for all of last season.

Would it be harsh to label Ismail and Cassidy as junior bomb squad members? Both out of contract in the Summer and Jackett has made it clear they're both available for loan.

If Afobe signs then I don't think Clarke will be too far off joining the bomb squad (only has five months left on his contract anyway thank god).

Annoyed siggy isn't being given another chance if this goes through, the guy isn't exactly rubbish and could play in the hole behind Dicko and Afobe, who else can play behind the strikers when Edwards gets injured?

It is where Moxey $$$$ed up massively for me, assuming it was his doing. You don't label a player like that.

Not really when you consider that all those players are earning far more at Wolves than any other club would be prepared to pay them. That's why they're so hard to get rid of, especially permanently.

Maybe getting a bit excited with myself here WW but he looked a player that could have the same sort of impact as Sako but that's me basing things on just a few games. Sadly injuries have robbed him and us of the chance to know but should he come back fit and manage to stay that way I'd like to think for the money spent to start with and how much has gone on his wages we may as well take a chance to see what happens?

I heard this was on the cards a few days ago. If KJ is not going to give him a chance we may as well get (some at least) of his wages off the books.

I think another club may come in for Doyle (whether on loan, or permanent). Boukari could yet feature for us, who knows about Pizza Boy, but when fit again, he will be off on loan again, probably? Siggy to Copenhagen would be good. So that leaves Johnson, whom, it would appear, doesn't seem to be very interested in playing at all!

    gone:

    http://www.fck.dk/#/nyhed/2015/01/13/bjorn-sigurdarson-til-fc-koebenhavn

    Rough Translation:

    'Björn Sigurdarson to F.C. Copenhagen

F.C. Copenhagen has today signed a lease running season out with Icelandic Björn Sigurdarson coming from Wolverhampton in England.

    - Björn has a huge untapped potential and a tremendous physique. I bought him to Wolverhampton, where he was well on the way to a breakthrough before the trainer switch hit him a little unfortunate. Recently he has been in Molde, where he again showed his great talent before he was set slightly back from an injury. He can play both the two front seats and to the right and gives us increased competition on the offensive positions that we have lacked a little after Bashkim Kadriis damage, says manager Stale Solbakken, who pleased to have a frikøbsklausul with the agreement around Sigurdarson if the parties are satisfied with the cooperation.

Björn Sigurdarson is number 14 on the game jersey.

I have often wondered whether McCarthy might be interested in Doyle. At present Ipswich seem to have a good striking set up but McCarthy favoured Doyle a great deal in his Wolves days?

Siggy to Copenhagen all things considered seems the best for all concerned now.

As for Margreitter I really had hoped to see him play for Wolves more often but this seems destined not to be so sobeit.

As for Johnson, less said best in his case.

It amazes me really, that no club appears to have shown any interest in Johnson-he wasn't the worst player for us, in our fall from grace, in many ways. The fact that he seems 'happy' to sit things out at Wolves and 'earn' his money, by doing nothing, at his age, probably tells us all we need to know about him.

Mick might be interested in Doyler, who knows and there is always the possibility of Reading, albeit his 'connections' with that club are distant now?

There may be some people Fleet, none I know, that know more about this situation and what has/is going on behind the scenes but for sure something is very wrong when it comes to RJ. Maybe story or stories have got out so damning that other clubs aren't interested and simply don't want to take him on? Other than Sheffield Wednesday I know of no other club who have ever shown any interest which says a great deal to me.

If he is on a decent wage and not overly bothered about playing again it's understandable why he wants to become a millionaire for doing naff all. Myself I couldn't be that way for a number of reasons but obviously we aren't all the same.

I'd prefer he left ASAP but accepted long ago Wolves seem stuck with him until his contract expires. When that day comes I hope the club do nothing other than say he has left. No thanking him, wishing him well or saying how well he done in his time at Wolves.

As for Doyle, I have nothing against him and if no other club steps forward I wouldn't have any problems with him returning to the squad.

Good news. Like KJ has said in the past Sigurdarson has all the physical attributes to be successful but in my opinion he's another that doesn't have it mentally.

KJ has managed players like that in the past, Lewis Grabban springs to mind, and quite rightly at the time sold them on. Siggy may come good one day and somebody might be able to coax him into performing consistently; however I won't shed any tears about him not lining up in a Wolves shirt.

i think KJ has basically decided that if there are any offers for any of those players then theyll be moved on, loan or perm. if there werent for whatever reason then i think he will assess them based on attitude as well as any ability they may have, before deciding whether to include them again. i believe he has said as much about Boukari in that he has some ability but he has to be carefully handled, and Siggy might have had a chance if he had applied himself. however an offer has come in and hes off

Another one off the books, albeit temporarily.

Hopefully he does enough for them so that they part with some cash and take him off our hands.

I agree, just wish it was permanent. Think Jackett doesn't quite rate Bjorn and I'm not quite sure Bjorn really wants to here himself. Be best for all parties if we could shift him for good.

Hopefully the club can move on a couple others also.

I don't get this. On a personal level I would like to see him given another go, but if he is not wanted then why a loan? Why loan to a club that can't afford to buy? If KJ doesn't think he has a future at Wolves, then surely we should be looking for a permanent deal?

Agreed but if no one else wants him then it could simply be a case of getting his wage bill of the list even if just for a few months? Wolves save money on his wages whilst Siggy may further develop? Just a thought.

I think you're forgetting that Doyle is on excessive wages, and Ipswich have much less financial muscle than us.

But in the meantime (like Johnson) they have to be taken into consideration. I believe Wolves have stated that anyone going out on loan must have their wages paid in full by the loaning club hence why Doyle for example has only been on loan at Premier League clubs as no Championship club are willing or indeed able to pay him what he's on at Wolves, similar to Johnson with his West Ham loan (not sure what the deal was with Sheff. Weds though)

Hope he does well on loan & we can sell him in the summer, but's it's good to free up some wages temporarily & with Foley gone it's been a good couple of days.

It a relief really, no more seemingly endless chances given to a player that just didn't look good enough. STale will probably want him, but only if he doesn't have to pay much, and we paid millions for him.

Hopefully this sort of signing couldn't happen with the current set up but, then again, Saville and Clarke have, at the moment, undone some of the confidence that we had in our signings.
