The problem with Wolves when teams come down and park the bus is that when we have corners and set pieces we don’t score from them. Watford where 2 nil down to Blackpool but got back into the game with a couple of goal from corners. IMO we need to put the ball from set pieces into the box instead of taking it short and passing it back into the back four to build again.

Put Iorfa in the box as well, such a waste leaving him on the halfway line.

We haven't got anyone who can seem to put a cross in. Even sako is terrible at corners. I would say Golborne is probably the best at whipping the ball in.

Golbourne is a good crosser of the ball, no doubt about it. Sako is hit and miss. Same goes for Van la Parra.

Henry is a decent crosser, but shouldn't be on the pitch.

But even with good crosses, do we have the right kind of attackers to finish them off?

I find it really frustrating that we play like we have all the time in the world and yet when we get a free kick we take it so quickly, passing it to the nearest person without really thinking about it.

One of the problems is that when Wolves get a set piece they leave the big defenders out. They don't need to commit every player but likewise they don't need to leave so many of the big players out.

Agree there is no point in rushing a free kick only to pass it backwards. Whenever we get a fee kick that can be angled into the box we should be doing so rather. We waste too many free kicks with rushed short passes. I could understand the benefit of a quick free kick if it is an attacking through ball.

It also drives me nuts when say the 4th officials board goes up showing 1 minute for half time and we get a free kick which could be delivered into the box and it isnt!

Spot on and your last comment tends to add more fuel to the fire that KJ sets things up not to lose and lacks the adventure needed. In the scenario you mention the team should be going all out whilst still having a couple of players back to cover any possible break. Wolves seem to just hold out for what they have.

Shame we don't have a great set piece taker like Man utd do - Phil Jones

Jack Price was taking all the set pieces at Yeovil and Orient. Set three goals up because of it...

Good point! The only person that I ever see throwing himself at a decent delivery (when they come) is Batth. We dont, and have not for a long time done enough from corners or set plays.

A bit more focus and they can be the difference between finishing in the top 6 and not.

I dont think it is Jackett, I just think too many players dont stop to think about it or are maybe unaware of just how close half time is. It was just the same under McCarthy and the short term managers in between.

We haven't been much good at corners for a dog's age to be fair, so much so that when we get one & the crowd in general get a little excited by it I'm just totally nonplussed by it all, "we never score from corners anyway so why's everybody getting excited about it?" is usually my retort to those around me. More in the hope that we'll score & then they can give me pelters for being negative than anything

Bikey was clearly there main header of the ball, why whomever he was marking ( say Batth) didn't take him away from the ball & let the other massive lads attack it I don't know.

We have more than enough big lads to win their their matchups I would say. Batth runs to the front takes Bikey with him, the same for Horse with his marker then let their 5"9 players try & deal with a ball whipped into the back.

Price, Stearman back defending, La Parra/Henry on the edge & get bloody 6"4 Iofra & Mcdonald in the box, even if they are not that great at attacking the thing they would cause issues.

I thought we'd agreed that Iorfa stays on the halfway to neutralise any counter breaking from the corner (our paciest defender?)

Henry and RVLP's corners are chronic and Sako's are hit and miss. Golbourne's much better - probably the best we've got but I'd like to see Price or McDonald have a go. We appear to just lump the ball in the middle because we've got absolutely no confidence in whoever is delivering it to do what they're actually supposed to. I suspect if the deliveries were consistently better we might see so more obvious training ground moves coming off.

Charlton did not have 1 man up front from corners, Price & Stearman could just as easily cope but I guess that is why we are cautiously defensive in most things we do.

Pretty sure I saw a Charlton player on the halfway line for a few of our corners, whereas for theirs we had every man bar Dicko in our penalty box

Can't remember who it was (maybe Bournemouth?) but they had THREE men on the halfway line for our corners, some might say that's a little risky but at a guess they'd have to be marked so a risk worth taking ????

No we don't, and it is a problem in open play as well. Wing play, but with strikers I'll suited for that style. We need runners down the middle as well to mix it up, especially when teams park the bus.

Was he able to introduce the Wolves quick-3-yard special into their play?
