For personal reasons I will no longer be attending games for the foreseeable future and have passed my season ticket into a friend. I want this to be done officially. Can I do this online or via email...any advice would be appreciated.

i'd ask the ticket office without revealing your details first, I did it when i gave up my ST during the huddle years but it was in the close season, new person who wanted the specific seat just contacted them with seat number and new details, but the waiting list these days may change that

I’m not sure you can do that, they have a long ST waiting list

Yeah I don’t think you can do that, there’s a waiting list.

Similar for me. Daughter has ST with me, like to swap to son shortly post A-levels, recognise waiting list, but would wish to pass onto him.

Not a problem at all, Take in a signed letter from the person giving up the ticket. They will swap over the details.
A relative did it this week.

Just the case of.popping in ticket office with old and new ID. Had to pay £10 charge but it was the Moxey days.

It's quite easy. All they need is an email and a phone call. They dont actually charge the £10. They just need the new details.

Just say it's a family member if you're worried but to be honest. They don't ask

Doesn’t seem right to me that current season ticket holders can pick people to skip the que?

Nor me, but think there should be exceptions like some of the examples above.

Mind you I’m in that season ticket queue (just in case they do something mad during redevelopment and have STHs only) but don’t plan on using my space (which will be right at the front if based on loyalty points).

If having a season ticket suited my life I wouldn’t have given it up 3 or so years back and I certainly wouldn’t be in a queue just to get one now we’re on the up! Amazing how many new STHs circumstances suddenly changed the past two seasons isn’t it!

Ultra, Giving up a season ticket when you know that you will be able to get match day tickets pretty freely is quite different to the current situation...

If you swap details over, you may find it hard if you want your ticket back later on. Would need to join queue if your friend won't swap back?

Just give it to someone else . Makes no difference .

Wouldn’t feel the need to do any different just because some ... on here are probably now in a queue for a st now we are doing well and obviously everyone else lives perfect lives never giving away their number for loyalty points ....

If you are in a queue for a st , genuine q , where were you in the past few seasons ?

Or is it another case of the strong correlation between wolves success and people’s wages

Wasn't talking about giving one up more the thousands who suddenly found they could make every game / afford one etc only when we started on the up.

People class STH's as the most loyal but I'd put the bloke who does 1 game a year but does that same one game a year however we are playing or in whatever division over these snakes any day.

I wonder how many people are on the season ticket waiting list? Must be frustrating to have people literally waiting to hand over 500 odd quid.

When the Glazers took over ManU they did an audit and found out they had STH's who were 120 yrs old, so they had to call in proof of life and personal presentation to verify them. Obviously, a lot couldn't manage to do this having been dead for a very long time, so the tickets were cancelled and made available to the, by now, enormous waiting list.
ManU was a stupidly cheap stadium, but also the ticketing was one of the shoddiest operations around. They missed out on a fortune for a very long time, but the touts got very rich with a virtual parallel economy. I remember picking up tickets from Lou Macari's chip shop once, and it was busier than a bookie's on Grand National day.

You see how they have to manage tickets now with a very complicated system of loyalty where even the most loyal fan willing to go to every single league, cup and european game game home and away, only has an 80% chance of getting tickets for finals. Paying to become a member, just to enter a ballot for home tickets.
No guarantees for anyone anymore, no more mates working in the ticket office.

I used to have a ticket from 1990 to about 2006, but gave it up due to new family etc.
Went to about 12 homes and 6 aways a season and paid match by match, untill i was in a position at start of last season to purchase 1 for me and 4 kids, does that make a Snake?
    If so, how?

Depends, were you in the position before to before then? If the answer's yes then I think you're a snake (not that I expect you're bothered what I think), if its a no then fair play happy your circumstances changed for you.

It was a throw away comment pal don't take it too seriously I don't and it came from me ha.

Nothing to do with money for me, well not really ...

Had a season ticket pretty much all my life up until 18, had to get a part-time job on Saturday's to fund my way through uni so didn't renew and just brought tickets for games I wasn't at work, got my season ticket back after uni but the last couple of years due to working late nights and travelling all over the country I was missing most week night games so again gave it up and went to every game I could.

Reason I'm on the waiting list is because now there's not many week night games anymore and I have the ability to get to most games now so it's worth it plus I want to make sure I have a guaranteed seat at every game.

I think people forget sometimes how easy tickets were to get in the past without a season ticket and the unprecedented demand now that there are for tickets. I don't think there are currently any 'glory hunter' Wolves fans, not that I know of anyway because those fans don't really go to games anyway. To me having a season ticket and missing a couple of games and just buying tickets to every game doesn't make any difference, when I go I'm not bothered about having a specific seat, just like to watch the lads.

I'm sure there are plenty who now have season tickets who got them off the back of half season tickets when we were doing well last season anyway ...

    Ok - I didn’t ask for a life story.

    There are clearly ‘glory-hunters’

3 years ago we had 17,000 home fans . We now have 28,000. There aren’t 11,000 fans with legitimate reasons like yours

Most are simply coming because we are good again and they will be the ones that **** off when we are **** again

I’m on there just in case. More convenient for me at the moment just to pay match by match, however currently having 250 loyalty points I would expect to near the front of the que should I choose to have a season next season (or whenever they are next available) and will be pretty ****ed off if that’s right that people are allowed to transfer their season ticket to friends/family who may have less points or not be on the waiting list at all.

I accept people can just give their season ticket to someone else without transferring it as that is out of the clubs control.

Well you did ask so I responded ...

Difficult situation really, any club doing well is going to attract more fans and more people who want to go and watch the games (call those people what ever you like) but there is clearly a direct correlation with success somewhere along that line where ever you draw it, but do you want to be **** with 17,000 or good with 28,000?

For me though a true glory hunter by definition wouldn't support Wolves now and isn't going to games, glory hunter's to me are the Arsenal fan's who've shouted Wenger out for years but never been to the Emirates or even Highbury, or the Liverpool fans on twitter who were born in Cornwall but are praying that 'their team' wins the league.

I've got no issue with Gary from Willenhall who brought a season ticket after only going to 3 games in 2016, that's his prerogative, as long as he's supporting the team who cares.

Personally got more issue with the people who've been going all there life and still give dog's abuse to our players. This season I've genuinely heard people say 'nut him Nuno' aimed at Vinagre when he gave the ball away. Costa you ****, **** off and my personal favourite about Gibbs-White 'he's going to be no better than Edwards the lazy ****'.

    Yeah, never understood that.

If a friend was having a bad time, you wouldn't shout at them for being weak and pathetic, you'd give them support.

Let's face it, there's a hell of a lot of people that do have season tickets, but actually understand very little about the game they are watching.
