How many of us wanted Paul Ince instead of MM?

Good appointment. A big name foreign coach would need at least a few months to get to know the players, club and league, by which time sunderland could have been dead and buried, and after allardyce the number of experienced british coaches around are limited. Sbragia has already had a massive impact on the way the side are playing and has the respect of the players and his peers. To write him off because brian kidd and sammy lee failed is ludicrous. The sunderland fans moaning should get a reality check.

Quinn told them that they would be getting a world class manager and he gave them Roy Keane. He then told them that he has a list of 30 breathtaking applicants and appoints Sbragia.

If i was a sunderland fan i would not be happy.

Imagine Morgan pumping millions into Wolves once MM gets us promoted only for him to keep us up waste £80m and then chooses to walk away and then for Moxey to give Terry Connor the job.

The Sunderland fans were hoping to see the club move on to the next level but it looks like the owners are happy to be the next Wigan, Bolton, Fulham.

He appointed keane when they were bottom of the championship and had arrived when the club were descending into oblivion after the mismanagement of reid and wilkinson/cotterill and has established them as a premiership side with some decent players. If his decision is that in spite of some breathtaking applicants, he's considered everything and decided that given the clubs current predicament, the fact that it's mid-season and that the team has responded resoundingly to his stewardship, that sbragia's appointment is what is required, they should back his judgement.
