Hope that means we have someone else lined up.

Good move for him and us really. Game time at a good side in a competitive league, better than sitting on our bench or in the stands.

Needs to prove himself all over again really.

Sounds a good idea all round.
Saville needs game time to gain experience and beef up. He did well on loan last season in that division so could help City. Frees up a space for us to bring in another midfielder more suited to what we need now.

Good move. He needs games and this will hopefully benefit him and us.
I get the feeling we will be bringing in an attacking midfield player soon with Rowe out injured and Jacobs not getting anywhere near the team.

Fingers crossed this goes through. I think it will be a good move for him and hopefully he will come back and do the business for us. I do honestly believe theres a good player in there.

    Good move.

I'm confident there is a decent player in there from the few times I've seen him. Hopefully this will be the move that gets it out of him long term for us.

But conversely IF we get promoted then he'll be back to square one won't he? Not good enough for the level we'll be at?

    Perhaps gents.
Or perhaps I have a bit of faith, and know how good Lingard can be.
I'm not one for over egging anything normally.

A decent gap to catch up but it does look good for making a prod at top 2. I hope that we are not pilling too much pressure on a 21 year old with little champ experience.

He could be very good, but you are talking about this season.

Is he better than Ibe who is in and out Derbys side? (who I think too is a great player)

I would be delighted to sign Lingard but I think we are 8 points behind sides who are superior to us (Boro, Derby, Bournemouth) as well as the likes of Ipswich who are so tough to beat and Norwich are another side who are better than us.

I'm a naturally negative guy but I think it's realistic to say play-offs would be the only aim this season.

I don't think we'll be out of touch certainly.

    Ikeme
    Iorfa Batth Stearman Hause
    McDonald Price
    Van La Parra Lingard Sako
    Dicko

With the likes of Kuszazk, Golbourne, Evans, Henry, Edwards and Afobe on the bench.

That's a fantastic side at this level. I just think we need a combative ball winning centre midfielder next to McDonald and we'll be flying.

We're only a couple of signings away from top 6.

This is what we need for me an all. We lack drive and character in the centre of the park. It has become a bit of a cliche in the last 10 years but we are crying out for a Ince/Rae/Cameron type.

Thought he was fantastic last night and took his goal really well. He also tracked back and put in a few tackles when he lost the ball which really impressed me.

Were you at Fulham away? He was absolutely unplayable that evening. Think he got two or three of their players booked and one should have been sent off!

He's still new to England. He has raw pace and energy, something not to be underestimated. Think his goal last night will drive him on too.

We've been a much better since VLP returned to the side.

Was highlighted by the WP commentators as one of our best yesterday alongside Edwards. And today he dedicated his first Wolves goal to Sir Jack on Facebook. Great lad!

Win?? Not sure about that, play offs I'd say, midfield still worries me, Price has done really good games and some really poor ones, Evans the same, need the speedier Kevin Macdonald (doesn't everyone)

I don't think McDonald needs to be faster imo he isn't a runner. You want him to sit there and be an option, covering the centre backs (Something he doesn't get enough credit for imo)and playing it forward.

Price like McDonald have been solid together and never seem to have a bad game, great partnership.

I hope you are right, so far I have been underwhelmed.

Apart from Cardiff at home I thought there has been little end product and a lot of conceding posession, I really expected a better first touch. At Blackburn on Sunday, in injury time, leading 1-nil the ball was cleared to him and he tried a stupid flick pass giving posession to Blackburn again...made me want to scream.

There are glimpses of a very good footballer, I hope they come more to the fore.

He is, and I admittedly haven't been very patient with him. To be quite honest, there was so much bull$$$$ written on here about his debut it riled me. He has such pace which he should be looking to use every time he can, which he doesn't. That is his main attribute to me. He isn't a tricky winger, it is all about pace.

Lets see, because I am very dubious.

I don't always agree. We are a much better side with Stearman, and Edwards for sure.

The only rreason I said win, is because the far superior Derby squad are within spitting distance despite our mediocrity

    I am with you here.

To be fair he don't have many but there was the one home game (brentford?) where for the first half he couldn't pass wind. I didn't go last night but listened on 5 live and hears we lost the midfield? I rate him highly just he can have poor halves is probably fairer?

Completely agree. Good move all round.

Hopefully he can get some confidence through regular football at Brizzle and come back and challenge for a first team place next season.

I'd go for quality not quantity. I'd try and sign Lingard on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season and Luongo from Swindon. I'd say our chances of promotion wld go up from 10-15% to 25-30% in one shot. Both players are young and have potential to cut it at Prem level.

I'd also try to offload Clarke, Jacobs and Doyle to streamline the squad and, if we signed someone like Lingard, we cld probably loan out McAlinden too. Savile also needs to be loaned out if it hasn't been already agreed. Surely someone, somewhere must have interest in Roger Johnson too! Here's hoping

I think Saville will be a good player and another promotion won't hurt his confidence.

However Evans and Price were both poor last night and with Tommy Rowe injured I would think this would mean we are set to sign a more standard central midfielder rather than a number 10.

Good move for him, and to a side chasing promotion too, needs games if he is to develop. With him out on loan and Rowe out for a few months we suddenly appear a little light in the middle, new signing anyone? :)
