Floppy chops has resigned
Gone from QPR.
Damn. They might have a chance of staying up.
I hate QPR.
Presumably the owner saw sense at last and refused to give him any more money to spend, so Arry has thrown his toys out of the pram? They may have a chance of staying up now, but depends on who they get in, probably Sherwood, but I am not convinced he will necessarily keep them up.
Radio 5 reporting that he needs operations on his knees so he has decided to leave and let others spend time with players/ club etc ?
Spoiled dirtbag! How much money has we wasted over the years?
Can't stand QPR. I really need them to be relegated, with or without Harry.
$$$$ty little club. Their fans are weird.
Someone's got in a strop because he's had the purse strings tightened.
Melty face- melty knees.
Definitely more to it than knee operations
Sherwood fav for the job.
It does seem strange that the official line is because of knee surgery but he has spent the whole window trying to get deals done and talking about players... Then quits the day after the window shuts.. Hmm.
Redknapp needs to be backed in every transfer window and he wasn't. No surprise that he's walked with a dubious parting reason.
Not a good job for anyone to take really. An inexperienced manager will get relegated and look worse and an experienced manager will get relegated and risk ruining their reputation.
The problem is they have some great players. I'm sure someone could get that group playing good football and winning games. I just really hope it doesn't happen.
Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey put in charge
Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey have been put in charge.
Well done Moxey and morgan for turning down qprs bid for sako-the straw that broke the camels back(oh ok i made that up)
Goddle has been helping out there for a couple of months and in that time it seems to me they have got worse, over all. Take out Charlie Austin's goals and they are very poor indeed!
Thrown his toys out of the pram because he couldn't buy 100 players on deadline day.
A bit like me on the Mix!
Apparently his wife wasn't even aware of how bad the issue was with his knees.
I'm sure it is more likely the fact that Fernandes didn't allow him any more spends that has caused him to jump ship.
Are QPR still not due to pay a massive fine for breaching FFP last season?
If relegated and refusing to pay the fine I heard that they might not be allowed back into the football league.
You know what this means, don't you ? Yes, guess who will be on the Match of the Day team in the not too distant future ! "triffic"
My mute button which has been celebrating the firings of Chiles and Townsend will be back in action as I can now suffer Father on the BBC or that Marks and Spencers mannequin son of his spouting drivel on Sky !
Ranks alongside David O'Leary and Kenny Dalglish for me as the most over hyped Managers in football ever.
Could do a job here?
I know lots of people who have had major knee surgery and most ops were planned months ahead. Unless something serious has happened overnight where immediate surgery is imperative I reckon he's wimped out? He's 67,a multi millionaire with a large property in Poole - why does he need the hassle of trekking up and down the country, week in, week out, away from his family to manage a $$$$ club like QPR? Relax, chill out and retire - very sensible imo.
Would only last one transfer window.
Hang on, so what did he say to the players that he says he spoke to yesterday that he wanted to sign?
'Aaron, I reckon you're a triffic player, come to us and you won't even have to move house!
Btw, I'm resigning in the morning and I don't know who would be your manager for the rest of the season if you sign'
No wonder everyone rejected them!
Or maybe his knees have nothing to do with it - it's everything to do with how all those negotiations failed.
It's incredible to look at their squad on Wikipedia and see how much money Harry has blown on this incredibly mediocre team.
The turnover of players at QPR has been ridiculous over past few few years.
Seems like he's thrown toys out of pram after 0 signings this time
Will this be is last job do we think?
His son seemed to not be aware yesterday
From the Pompey sites.
"Triffik club Bournemouth, Triffik place, Triffik people. I don’t even know what a Director of Football does."
Resigned (dodgy knees cited). Somebody on our site reckons his knees are down to the bare bones.
Tony Fernandes' tweet yesterday...
"If something intresting comes up we would look at it. But I'm not optimistic. Given the right motivation, tactics and coaching we can achieve much more."
Maybe but I bet Fernandes does not sit on his hands and waste time in appointing someone for two weeks or only offer them a caretaker role until the end of the season. I'd expect Sherwood to come in on an 18 month contract.
Don't believe this is anything to do with his knees as surely he would of known at the beginning of January, either way, couldn't he just of had it done privately during the close season?
And Mick managed us when he had that ankle surgery and wore a massive brace for a few games...
Knee replacements are a bit different
Yeah but surely he knew about it before yesterday?
Of course he did, it is all bull$$$$, he agreed to resign, rather than be sacked. All the 'helpers' (Les Ferdinand, Bond, Goddle etc) he has at QPR could surely have taken over, on a temporary basis, until he was a bit more mobile etc?
Is it Sheep?
Is it Pig?
No it is Bull$$$$.
