I'm bringing a Feyenoord supporting Dutch friend with me up from Oxford tomorrow but our train gets in at 10:45. I said I'd show him the match day experience so we need somewhere we can get a pint before the game, where is the pub exclusion zone? could I get a pint in Chapple Ash or is it all pubs in Wolverhampton that are shut?

Usually outside the ring road is ok. Nothing closed down the 454

There was nothing on our site prior to the Bristol game earlier this season, and if they decided to shut all the pubs in town for that I'd be amazed if they let them open tomorrow.

As has been previously said it doesn't affect pubs outside the ring road around the city centre, I'll be partking in a few pre-match beverages in the Western I think.

I think the Bluebrick (opposite the Royal Mail) should be open before kick off

The Gaffer at our usual watering hole showed us a letter saying all town centre pubs must remain closed tomorrow until after the match, so we have to use the side door;)

  7. The Western is open at 10am and is serving breakfast. I reckon the Clarendon will be open early as per Bristol game.

Are they selling alcohol inside the ground - I know there isn't any for the away fans but for us surely they are?

The police really should close the Bluebrick and the Western down on match days. They are far closer to the point of entry for away fans than any town centre bars.
Leaving them open makes a mockery of the whole policy.

I know this argument has been raised on similar threads previously, but are people really that desperate for a drink at 11am? Personally I don't mind going one home game without a few pre-match beers.
