Just heading back to the Midlands now (About an hour and a half later than should be) After a massive kick off at the station! Window got put in and we had to get off the train and wait. And the police were an absolute liability! They didn't have clue what was going on and I less! Anyone else have any problems with this?

Which station Bolton or Horwich Parkway? Had no problems but went via Preston, home and enjoying a malt:D. Good to see you and your dad in the Beehive.

The reason I drive or go on coachs is to avoid the Police. They cause as much if not more trouble than they stop at football. Would not be acceptable in any other walk of life.

I was fortunately on opposite platform and police let me through, still had you "herded" outside station when I left.

They may do but it's never the fans fault.

    Complete buffoons are the police

Bolton fans went first, wolves fans held outside station then allowed on to wait for 30mins train

When finally on packed as sardins the police wisely let few strangling bolton fans onto platform who started giving verbals

As soon as the doors locked, they decided be hard as nails and bash windows goading wolves fans

To which several took obvious offence, ended up putting window through trying to get to bolton fans and pressing emmergency button when train started to move

There's a video going round on Twitter of Wolves fans kicking the window out the train whilst the two sets of fans argue with each other. It's nothing really.

But I didn't go today but have been the last few times before that and one of the games (would have been a Sat afternoon, not the Zubar one) there was similar fighting with the police who were on horses all the way on the short walk to the station, at the station we were penned in and more trouble until we were basically barged onto trains that took us to Manchester.

The funniest part of the whole thing was that me and my dad were at the front of the group of Wolves fans, being constantly guaranteed by cops that we would be able to catch the 5:17 train (which meant we would be able to catch our connecting trains). In the end the train we eventually caught didn't get out of Horwich Parkway until about 6:30! But the very best part was that because there were no toilets in the station I was told by a 'Police officer' to "go round the back of the station and avoid the camera's!!"

Police with very poor behaviour after game as well

Police horses pushed up on wolves fans, wasn't afraid to charge directly at them who were doing nothif wrong

    Pushing them towards wolves coaches

Sadly not everyone gets a coach

And would served that blonde her bitch of a copper right if she fell off her bloody horse

Complete idiots. Came out of the exits in ground to a copper on horse continously making an $$$$ of himself. As I was with my daughter I told him to watch was he was doing to be told to $$$$ off and keep moving and do as I was told, I told him id only just walked out and there was kids and women around to be told to $$$$ off once again.
Hate the police with a passion at football matches, bullied schoolkids the lot of them.

My mind goes back to 1977 when we denied Bolton promotion. We were all queuing up to get inside the ground and there were about 6 police horses pushing the Wolves fans who had nowhere to move to.
Then one idiot kept shouting 'Move' and got his horse to lift up its hooves and bring them down on the legs of fans who couldn't budge an inch.Another couple joined in and starting hitting fans with their sticks. Some fans tried to pull the first idiot off his horse whereupon they all got their truncheons out and just waded in.
These days fans would have recorded it but back then some of us were left to make a formal complaint.I received a letter from the Match Commander to say the Wolves fans were being unruly and the officers took action to defend themselves and were commended on their bravery in dealing with such large numbers.
    You couldn't make it up
So yes I have issues with the Police at football matches but there are quite a few fans who need no excuse to have a ruck.

    Always had trouble at Bolton.
When we were banned after Scarborough we got grandstand tickets for Burnden Park, went up to Preston, caught the discreet slow train back to Bolton avoiding all police, sneaked off in the crowd and got sussed out within 5 minutes by Bolton fans : punched, kicked, chased round town like something off the Benny Hill show, got lifted by the police, put back on the train. All in all it took less than 20 minutes :D
Still laugh about it now. All that way for a black eye.

So, instead of taking the **** out of those particular few coppers at that particular minor incident, what do you suggest they should have done about the ***** on the train who were smashing windows whilst they were also hustling the BW *******? :dong:

I don't condone violence because it doesn't lead anywhere positive but those chicken $$$$ Bolton fans backed right off when they thought the Wolves fans were getting off. Why goad somebody that you want a fight, if when it comes down to it, you're scared?

Depressing that the one Bolton fan was allowed to goad the fans on the train while a copper 3 yards away just ignored him allowed the situation to develop. All it needed was a warning that he would be nicked for behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace unless he stopped. Equally depressing that morons on the train pulled the emergency stop and put the window through. Not good PR for Wolves or the police. Most of the Bolton fans were just bystanders.

No need to let Bolton fans onto the platform when they had no intention of getting the train. Idiots.

    You obviously wern't there...
Basing your opinion on a couple of minutes video?
Why did the police hold all of the Wolves fans back after the game outside of the station? Instead of filtering people in at a steady pace.
As soon as the Wolves fans got on the train the Bolton fans were let on to the platform! Really poor policing!
I'm not saying for one minute that the fans causing trouble are blameless, but if you were there then you'd know that the police really aggrevated the situation yesterday!

Yeah don't get wrong, the fans were not blameless at all! Just calling out some really poor police work! Like I said earlier in the thread, when I asked one of the coppers if there was a toilet about, he told me to go round the back of the station and avoid the cameras! And then, the same officer wouldn't let me back in the station! Bloody ridiculous!

Had trouble before the game just walking through from Tesco to the chronic stadium. Police horse just went loco & almost took me & a family of bolton fans out. Luckily another mounted copper put his horse in the way.
You could count the number of decent coppers on one hand & don't get me started on the stewards....

Didn't hear a peep off a steward all day.

OB were a liability as per usual, I haven't seen that much of a inept handling of a situation for a while. Don't see why they didn't let fans mingle on the station, was only heated after the game because they made it that way.

Wasn't the police fault but totally avoidable if they'd have done their job Bolton fans on platform had been goading wolves for ages before the window got done. Should have been moved on simple.

Nothing incident really surprised some described it as major kick off etc it's poor xhinease whispers like that that enhance a certain reputation

This enmity started in '77 when we took the Supermarket end, one Wolves fan threw a corner flag like a javelin at the retreating Bolton crew and we won, letting Clough's Forest get promoted rather than them. A now-dead Bolton fan told me many years later about how that made them hate us with a passion. It has now passed onto a new generation on both sides. We need a truce or someone will get killed one day.

What is it with grown men going to away matches, having a few drinks and suddenly thinking it's the 70's or 80's again or thinking they are in the football factory. Morons.
