Hi all after seeing Afobe score today it got me thinking. How many players have we had that have scored on their debut?

Dicko scored twice in his second debut if that counts. Sako scored on his debut in the cup against Northampton.

    Just found this:

John Galley. He was a proper centre-forward who could really head the ball. He netted on his Wolves debut in a 5-0 victory at Fulham and got off the mark immediately for his second club Rotherham by scoring a hat-trick against Coventry. The Derbyshire-born striker repeated the feat for Bristol City at Huddersfield and opened his account in his first game with his fourth club Nottingham Forest. He later had a loan spell with Peterborough before joining Hereford, where he dropped back to centre-half.

    That's some record!

Thar wasn't his debut, it was his home debut. His debut was the week before, at Plymouth

Dean Sturridge scored away at Wimbledon on his debut and then scored a hatrick on his home debut v Barnsley.

Pretty sure Andy Gray scored on his Wolves debut at Everton and then scored again on first home appearance in a 3 - 1 win over Manchester United.

I know Doog scored a hat trick on his home debut but I think his first game was the previous week away.

    Steve Kindon ?

    Tommy Langley ?

    Edwards N ?

I think Billy Livingstone may have scored on his debut in a one -nil win at Bolton in September 1982.

Willie Carr on his debut in the 7 -1 thrashing of Chelsea.

I think Edwards may have away at Scunthorpe? I was there and he got one after like 4 minutes that I think was his debut?

SEB got the other and that was his first, which I knew, but also knew it wasn't his debut... Proper anorak in those days [emoji14]

Pye and Wilshaw both got hat-tricks on debut. Stobart and Farmer scored on debut. Eddie Stuart scored on debut and never scored again

Can't see how Roberts counts as genuine debut - he had come on as sub three times before his first start

Definately Neil Edwards at Brentford away - I was there. He was signed the day before from Oldswinford to make the numbers up but he lookeda real talent for 2 months before he got crocked by Walsall.

Nope, he didn't score until his third appearance.

Shaun Newton scored on his debut against Portsmouth.
