It's a sign of how far we've progressed that he feels the need to play these silly mind games on the eve of our game.

You didn’t?.....countless posters on MM over the last year were soooooooo positive that Ruben would be gone this January....others said by the seasons end.
Be grateful and enjoy was the talk while we had him. He’s definately going.
    Sneered at anyone who disagreed.
Figures like 60 , 80 or 100 million were put forth.......time and time again

    However....

If one reads between the lines, maybe Pep is diplomatically trying to say Neves is not under consideration?.......at any price?

Lovely rumour from The Guardian. The discussion of holding midfielders 'such as' Neves for £100 million becomes a headline. He clearly says he has Gundogan in reserve. It also makes a story of de Bruyne walking off down the tunnel. I suppose if it is said they can report it, but they may also be looking for things that aren't there.

Then to top it off at the end of the article the Guardian ask you to make a small donation to help them continue writing these stories.

I don't really care who writes it. My point was that I won't pay for it.

Then where will you get reliable info, ....at least as best we can?.....good stuff costs money, junk journalism is a dime a dozen.
    Whatever....I don’t really care.

    Good point.
We've seen 17 million conned in the UK and 100 million in America by people buying the right to spread propaganda masquerading as news.
Maybe we will need to pay for independence in the future, it's so difficult in a world without quality control.

The point Poole Wolf was making is that the article reads as if we are offering him up for sale. We aren’t. Of course there have been all the rumours and Wolves has made various subtle statements - but that’s not the same as saying he is for sale.

Not really. He also says City have

That shows us how much further ahead they are than Wolves and puts all the pressure on himself to just find 11 who can beat us.

Totally agree that a lot of stuff online is rubbish and just click bait.
If I want a reliable source I wait until the club announce it.

First off, people allow themselves to be conned. My point is it’s ok to be bright and to question everything in life.

Ok....there are hundreds of thousands of news sources out there who only will tell the truth..
And most of it is free...on the net...medicine....sports...politics,etc,
    Just look, evaluate and read.

Sound advice.. i mostly use the mix to read match reports from people at the game who will have a better appreciation of the overall performance than I will watching on tv in Oz.

I also enjoy reading the banter and **** taking of other teams, it's something I miss living in WA. I guess you probably do too.

I’m not sure I read it that way. I read it as Man City need a new young player like Neves, and while not disagreeing, Pep says they will not pay the 100m it’s rumoured Wolves would want to consider selling him. Fair question in run up to a Man City v Wolves game and fair answer I think.

Western Australia. I have been here for a little over 10 years. Ironically I saw Wolves play a couple of pre season friendlies against Perth Glory Fulham and North Queensland in 09
A certain Robbie Fowler played for North Queensland.

Saying that he started the champ similarly and then took bull by horns so ask me again in may

I agree. The catch is identifying the (often rare) nugget in amongst the dross. Critical evaluation is a must. Sadly most people are not good at it....

We have 4 days coming up of 40+, I just can't wait.
Get to work for 7, park underground, stay inside all day, water the garden when the sun goes down.

AC is not an option as I'm a bricklayer . I have worked on days of 50 degrees which is like standing in front of the open oven door for 8 hours.
We generally start and finish earlier on the hot days. I work with a South African guy and it drives him mad when Wolves have an evening game during the week as I watch the game from 4am and won't leave the house until its finished. So on those days we don't have an early start.
I normally get into the ute as he's moaning about Poms and their soccer. :)

Neves came into the PL with lots of expectations on him. But let's be honest, it was only against Liverpool, second half in particular, that Neves started to hit some form again.

Sorry, but I completely disagree. First 9-10 games he was class, except for his shooting. I still think there has been a little bit of a dip around novemberish but most of this season he has been quality.

Mind games by him prior to the match I reckon by effectively suggesting Neves isn't worth £100m of their money...

Over here WA usually might mean Washington State,( borders on B.C. ), or Wash. capital.
That’s why I asked east or west.

Glad £100m is the kind of figure being bandied about. He is not for sale and we want him for at least another two seasons beyond this one as we build a young team around him. Go shopping elsewhere Pep, you guys are so greedy when you already have an incredible squad to choose from. I hope our bunch push you to the absolute limit tonight and snatch an unlikely win. Neves from 30 yards in the 94th minute ideally.

Barcelona and Real Madrid can go for him in 2023 for £100m plus plus if they want when he stars in our Champions League final win.

I don't think Pep is playing mind games. As usual, the media create these stories. He was asked about Neves out of the blue and answered honestly, he's good but we won't be trying to sign him at the quoted figure. Had he refused to be drawn on the subject, no doubt the headlines would have read, "Guardiola refuses to rule out Neves transfer".

Sometime ago I did feel a bit guilty of often stumbling on their stories by accident and so I sent them a few quid but that simply got me more begging emails. Result - I make greater efforts to avoid their links.
