Hopefully a nothing story and seeing as he's only just joined as such would like to think he'd stay longer than half a season but never say never of course.

If Palace came in with a massive offer mind I can almost see Moxey now in his counting house.

Essex it's getting boring now. You don't like Moxey. Fine. Leave it out though eh?

We don't have a history of regularly selling our best players for a quick buck soon after signing them. Undue and unfair criticism.

I'm sure he will be sought after, but he's going nowhere.

I don't see why he'd want to leave us at such stage of his Wolves career. Give it another year and maybe he'd be looking to move.

It's inevitable the clubs going to get enquiries after how BA has played since he arrived. Unless it's absolutely massive (ross mccormack cost £11m) then we won't even talk to anyone.

BA also.seems to have his feet firmly on the ground and could have gone to a prem club when we signed him. So why would he have his head turned after so short a time and seemingly happy at his new club?

This is how I see it, he respects Jackett after working with him at Millwall, and has seen how many young players move to obscurity at prem clubs because they moved too early. Seems ridiculously level-headed, something I know I wouldn't have been as a 21-year-old, I'd have gone out 5 times a week and acted like an idiot haha.

Would like to Steve Morgan step in and say our best players are not for sale!

And if not, how on earth are Wolves ever going to achieve the boards aim statements of recent years.

Remember the.. Wolves want to be bigger than Aston Villa, and only second to Manchester United one..

And Jez`s more recent, Wolves want to emulate Everton..

The only chance we will have of achieving anything like that, is to keep hold of our best players.

All, or to be a bit realistic, most of them.

The best established ones, the new ones like Afobe and the young ones breaking through.

No way we sell him whatever happens this season. Do what Derby have done. Keep all your best players and build.

£20m+ appears to be the new going rate for an England U21 international banging in the goals.

FWIW NWW I don't actually dislike Moxey and just put it down to him doing the job he is instructed to do. I have often praised him when it comes to transfer deals as well. I don't always like or agree with some of what he says and does I'll admit.

And if he isn't going anywhere great news but that's making an assumption mate.

Buy a poor player - slate recruitment for recommending him
Buy a good player - slate the management for possibly selling him (even though as NWW suggests we have never done this except when relegated / not promoted where we had no real option)

Do people just want a team of players who are good enough for us but not for anyone higher?

Can't speak for other SYHO but what I want is a squad capable of moving the clubs onwards, upwards and forwards.

Be prepared for a summer full of stories like this on Benik possibly one or two others like Iorfa, Batth and possibly Dicko.

As is suggesting we will cash in during the summer, to be fair.

Afobe isn't going anywhere. He will however play in the PL, that I have no doubt. He is a genuine potential PL number 9 IMO, it is just a question of whether we go there with him. This will be an issue in 12 months time if he continues to progress, not yet.

The media can and will write what they like. Unfortunately for them they are not running Wolves nor the country as Sky sometimes act like they are

Shock , Horror......average premier league clubs show interest in one of the hottest young strikers outside the prem......

All of these so called clubs had their chance when we signed him but didn't......Cant see Kenny letting his prize asset leave when he's under lock and key.....If he does he may as well leave too

Lazy journalism during an international break.....I'd be worried if no one was 'interested' in any of our players 'cause that would mean they are all $$$$

If we sell our best young players we all might as well give up !

I wouldn't expect him to leave & he's not the type to demand a move I think, more of a Lescott than a Fletcher but every player has a price & an ambition.

Could be Sako, Lescott, Afobe at Albion or a swap for Dwight Gayle plus a few million at Palace.

Going to be a long summer ahead I think.

We have a history of selling players when big bucks are available. Robbie Keane, Joleon (ok, gentlemans agreement in place), Fletcher, Jarvis.

As regards the "soon after signing them" part, well sadly no player has made quite the immediate impact that Afobe has for us for many many seasons and hence large bids have not come in shortly after signing a player. SEB made an impact but even in his pomp he looked far less impressive than Afobe does. Bully made an impact but at a much lower level.

I'd say there is probably greater than a 50% chance of Afobe leaving in the Summer if we dont go up. I'd also say that based on past history it would be a late August sale. Moxey has form for maximising sale values of our best players by selling just before the deadline and screwing over our chances of success for the season because for him short term financial gain always wins over strategic thinking. Obviously he cant sell without Morgan's approval but I doubt this would be a significant barrier if the money is right. Also if offers come in for Afobe to make an immediate step up to the prem then his head may well be turned. There is also the possibility of a buy-out clause existing in his contract.

Lets just hope we can get up and keep our best players on board. To all those who say we should consolidate this season and come back stronger next season, I would point out there is a big possibility that we will be much weaker next season if we lose our best players.

  27. We'll by tested by bids of £5-6m for BA this summer

It's whether we want to go for auto promotion next year

    I think Morgan does

I think we could expect offers of £10m+. I think we would resist offers of £5-6m having paid £2m.

I would imagine Arsenal would have first dibs to buy him if we sold him in the future.

Nobody is going to bid the £15m+ needed to pry him away this summer. If he maintains his form I think we have one season with him (assuming in the Championship as seems likely).

On the baggies links, I see Mulumbu is up for sale this summer. I think he would be an ideal signing to provide a bit of experienced defensive midfield cover but purely speculating.

I think/ hope we will have him until at least January, whatever division we are in next season. If we sell him in the summer, morale of most fans will be pretty shot, because getting an equal standard replacement will be unlikely.

I think this is more a problem for the January window of 2016.

I'm quite confident that he will stay this summer even if we don't go up. When he signed he might have been told that we have an outside chance of promotion this year - If we make it, happy days all round. If not, then he will be a major player in a strong promotion challenge in 2015/16.

If in January 2016 we are way off the pace, then he could be angling for a move.

Just my opinion, and this is based on Afobe continuing this type of form and trajectory, and Morgan actually strengthening the team....

Such a statement would be meaningless as every player has a price with the possible exception of Messi! If someone in PL was desperate and offered £10m plus we would almost certainly sell.

If we are off the pace it will be because he's not scoring & probably wouldn't attract any significant bids in that case.
