Huddersfield? They always seem to get the better of us, well at least in relatively recent times. I recall a game at their ground when it was called the McAlpine, in which Robbie Keane equalised in stoppage time only for Huddersfield to go on and win 2.1 in the 96th minute.

Since we beat them in 1997, we have played them 10 times, gaining a measly 2 points. Can anyone think of a similar record we have against anyone else given the amount of times we've played over the period of time? Arsenal perhaps?

Also, do we have a similar record against anyone in reverse? Bristol City was one I thought of, we always seem to beat them.

Good, we go in as underdogs tonight. Nothing to loose and we don't have the usual over the top expectations about the game, we might just win it. Having said that I expected us to beat them earlier in the season and they came to the Mol and they beat us well.

Seems quite average from my recollection. Norwich on the other hand was decent for a time.

It has a feel of the Watford game to me when everyone was predicting a cricket score [emoji32]

    Sandwell Town.
I think a lot of teams struggle against Ipswich and Norwich especially away, probably cos of the distance to get there.

Surprised you didn't include ourselves as our own bogey team. Or at least Morgan & Moxey.

I can recall wins against most of the big clubs & massive attendances etc that people mention on here from time to time but have we ever been good against Arsenal?

BHA have always been a bogey side in my time but going on the stats for Huddersfield that seems worse. But all these things have to come to an end so maybe tonight?

Southampton were another bogey until our promotion season under McCarthy as the Saints fell into League 1 and we managed a couple of wins. It had been a long wait before then.

In reverse, we have a great record against Sheffield Wednesday, especially on their patch. Burnley is another place we tend to always do pretty well at.

It does seem we have a lot. Or maybe the defeats are more memorable than the victories? Doing the double over Spurs seems to have been forgotten as well as the play-ff defeat of Reading and the win against Norwich this season.

I do agree that the Huddersfield has been a bad place to go though. Have we won at the new ground? I have a vague memory of a 0-0 at Leeds Road when winning the League in 1988/9 and beating them well at home?

My view is a bogey team is a team you lose to repeatedly even though there is no reason to think you will. In that respect Huddersfield fit the bill perfectly, as did Brighton and in years gone by Watford. Arsenal aren’t a bogey team - they’re just better than us!
