It was loud at times and very enjoyable. There's a group of guys to the right as you lot look at it at the back in the top tier who try their best.

Totally agree it was better than normal but no where near good enough. The guy who was getting us going was great he also had a good accomplice in a guy behind and to his left. Some of us try to get em all going but most just look at us as if we are mad. Hell if yesterday can't get em off their fat arses what can I seriously despair. At away games everybody sings so why not at home .

I have been in three times. Each time I go in I sing and each time I have had people turn around and just stare too.

It must be strange seeing a dwarf sing :D

To be honest yesterday was the best in a long long time. The guy in the lower teir standing on the steps deserves a medal.

I was telling my son about the North Bank South Bank song, the long version that used to get sung....would love to hear that going again

We're the North Bank, We're the North Bank, North Bank Molineux
We're the South Bank, We're the South Bank, South Bank Molineux
    On and on

  9. South Bank with all the lights was an amazing sight by the way

We're not the North bank, we're not the south bank, we're the new stand Molineux.

Seriously, if we sang the new stand in the Steve Bull I think most people wouldn't know what we were on about.

Best atmosphere since the Rotherham game last season, although a bit flat in places like around 20th minute 1st half and just after the break, when it was loud it was really loud. That Jack Hayward's Barmy Army lasted for 5 minutes, it would be good to sing that every game, like we sing about Bully even though he doesn't play anymore.
And great to see 3 stands singing, funny how away fans moan about the Steve Bull lower being hard to make any noise, well I could the SBL yesterday, when the South Bank is full you get more of our more passionate fans dotted round the ground.

    Really nice tribute to SJH.

Tbh up until we scored I thought the atmosphere in all stands was poor. Whatever noise the North bank make seems to disappear, the stands acoustics are shocking.

I think it'll definitely improve if the corner continues round to the Steve Bull Stand, also the fact that if the away fans are permanently in that corner then we'll get a few singers and nutters who'll want to go next to them in the NB.

And yes the Blackpool fans were in the upper NB corner, about 500-700 came down as a rough guestimate!

The North Bank is a big imposing stand & it's much much better than all the others, the rest need doing & getting up to that standard.

Whats with the flashes on the phone we've started doing also?

From where I was in the South Bank it was the lower tier giving it a real go. There was a guy on the steps facing the stands waving his arms and getting them to stand up

Not sure the stewards were happy :D

there were some lads in and around JL9 / JL10 giving it a good go too they even started a song that got going all round (forgot which). As others have said think when the southbank fills up quite quickly you get a lot spread around the ground.

I still didn't think the atmosphere was what it could have been at times in the first half. $$$$ed me off if I'm honest, sit in SL2 but on that day of all days I really couldn't be dealing with the constant battle of trying to get everyone singing (don't get me wrong there was others trying too) so moved upto S1 for the second half.

If you can't be bothered to sing (other than the odd chant everyone joins in with) on a day like that then really what the hell are you doing in the southbank! Can we swap them for those sining in JL10 or the Northbank please (sad fact is they probably would have been in the Southbank if not sold out)

I think thats his point when it was good it was $$$$ing great but too few and far between.

The club, players and more importantly Sir Jacks family were happy with it though apparently (lower standards these days) so thats the main thing.

Agreed 100%.....with the absence of large away followings in this division, at least use ourselves as rivals to get the noise levels up...and also sounds good

We still have a version of it at away days, albeit the short version..as North Bank, South Bank....

Would love to hear the full version going again on home match days

I don't think I do mate, I've been to enough wolves games in my time both home and away to know when its a good atmosphere!!!. Like I said after the goal it was great. The tribute to Sir Jack was great and whilst the South Bank tried there hardest it just seemed very flat considering the occasion and the number of fans in the ground.

A general point on 'atmosphere' singing, traditional ends of ground etc etc.

Not everyone watching wants to sing. Nothing wrong with that. It's the opposite end of those who have made football sterile by limiting flag size sitting ete etc for those who do. Football and Molineux should be all encompassing and all types of Wolves fan should be able to attend as they want and support with what feels comfortable.

I agree that the singing on Saturday in other stands was due in part to the South Bank being full so there was some 'overspill'. The days of the old North Bank are now dead as far as I can see. The design of that stand was completely out of character with what was needed.

The 'answer' is relatively easy (if you have the investment).

Make the South Bank bigger with safe standing in the future. Say about ten thousand or so. Alternatively do the Steve Bull and make the lower tier safe standing in the future, along with the existing South Bank.

That should at least allow enough concentrated capacity for (cheaper) attendance for those who will make a noise consistently and leave the rest of Molineux for those who respond as necessary depending on occasion or quality of play on the pitch.

Allow banners of all shapes and size, Punjabi drums, etc etc.

Please, I didn't want to comment on this particular point after Saturday which was a special event for us all. But I must say I hate this perception that when the south bank is full the other stands are so fortunate to have your overflow "passionate" fans to start some singing. Get stuffed. In the Steve Bull upper if we try to get some songs going there are only about twenty five rows in front for it to catch on. On a normal fixture we can be on the periphery of the crowd up there as well. If you really truly want to get it rocking then move en masse to the stands you say are quiet. Must do some work now so I'll have to come back to this later.
