Probably about as true as all the other Hennessey rumours.

Would we expect the club to rubbish this report in the same way they did the £10 million January transfer war chest ??--I for one would expect them to as this article is suggesting that they are stating facts rather than rumour.

Sub-vital football $$$$$$$$. The club can't comment on every piece of baseless speculation.

  4. i would say from what Big Mick was saying on the official website about the keepers today that this is far from true-Any player of quality not in a team would always get linked with teams...

"McCarthy has taken the stance that he doesn’t want an unhappy player at Wolves and will leave him on the bench until he is sold in January."

Think this sentence proves the whole article is rubbish.

exactly, the article is dated today, hennessey played the last game for wolves and i expect him to stay in nets for while.

At least the war chest story made the tabs. From what I can tell this site is a two-penny piece of tripe.

Edit: "this" site being the one from where the rumour started - not our beloved Mol Mix! :D

I said every, not any. When was the last time you heard Wolves comment on transfer speculation concerning one individual footballer? There was the bulk 'not for sale' statement in the summer, but outside that it's the company policy not to discuss things, and rightly so.

I think the club would be more likely to comment on a rumour that starts on here than the unmitigated rubbish on that site.

It's an exclusive, well it would be if you've made it up wouldn't it?

  12. Quite. A story that has gone far and wide and been read by a load of agents, players, managers etc as its in the tabloids will attract some comment from a club.

Something that has been read by 36 webmongs (including myself) is considerably less likely to concern the club - whether it's true or false. If it's all over the tabloids tomorrow - then they might say something.

  13. Bear in mind too that if the transfer kitty story had been allowed to go unanswered then Moxey's ability to strike a decent deal goes flying out the window. Pity there isn't a way to rate stories like the one about Hennessy on the website. The writer might feel the wrath of some Mixers I think! :D

YAWN - we are not selling him and certainly not in January which would be the worst possible time. If we don't get promoted then that would be a different ball game.

We as a club don't need to sell.
WH would only want to go to a club in the premier league.

There's probably 5 or 6 prem clubs who'd be interested in WH, but maybe 2 or 3 would be willing to put in a real bid for WH. The questions are how much would it take for us to think about selling, and could the potential buyers get a better deal somewhere else?

I'd be disappointed if clubs weren't interested in our best players, but I think that the price we'd put on WH would make the buyers look elsewhere.

This stuff should be on CBS' 60 minutes such is the quality of the reportage.

Was in the Sun this morning that he's not interested (Given that is) and Tottenham also interested in Steve Harper.

Just seen on Sky Sports News that Gomes (sp) reckons he's over his $$$$-ups now that he's "settled in". It was through an Interpreter though. Lost in translation could just as easily have been saying "I'm $$$$e but they gave me a long contract"

Ikeme and Murray have missed huge chunks of the previous seasons injured. We would need another quality keeper if Hennessy went. So what is the point of selling one keeper who is certainly good enough only to have to find another. Higgs?*??^?!!

Who makes this stuff up?????? Murrays latest injury has scuppered the already unlikely idea of this in Jan. And good as Ikeme is he does seem a bit delicate if a few stitches are keeping him out for a 2nd game. Maybe a move for Hens in the summer if we don't go up but who is likely to offer the money we would want?

Have you read that BBC story? Is it any wonder that the standards of literacy in this country appear to be going to the toilet when there are so many mistakes on a single (short) news story on one of our nation’s flagship websites?
Whereas I appreciate many of the mistakes are in quotes from Mr Toshack, if this is in actual fact what he said may I suggest the story should be about his drink problem as he is making no sense!

“…and I know a few clubs are interest in Wayne “ – how about “interested”?

“…13-times capped goalkeeper has impressed for both and country.” – both what and country? Club?

"Without being disrespect to the other who were good pros….”, - disrespectful?

“..these two is the ideal situation for a manager..” - “is” or “are?”

"Wayne has doing nothing wrong….” – “is doing” or has “been doing” maybe?

"Now it's up the pair of them, ….” - what is up the pair of them. Sounds painful!

"I'm very happy with the both of them." - loose the “the” or change “both” to “pair”!

  33. “I’m terribly bored about these persistent non-truths that appear in the media.”

A small hint to the hacktards out there I think ;)

They could do with 10 simultaneously, given the way they're playing at present!
