I’ve lost count of the number of times that I’ve started talking to someone because of my Wolves shirt.

This week I’ve been lucky enough to be in Costa Rica (it’s an amazing beautiful country)! The people here are nuts about football and as you might expect it took under 10 minutes for someone to ‘make’ my Wolves shirt and ask about it.

I’ve now been officially incorporated into the Deportivo Saprissa fan club and reciprocaly managed to make some new Wolves fans.

They’ve even gone and gotten me a home shirt and I’ve promised to send them a new Wolves shirt too.

Who’s asked you about your Wolves shirt and have you swapped scarves / Shirts with?

Our taxi driver in Barbados noticed my shirt and he pointed to his Liverpool shirt and kissed the badge.
As we went to leave he asked if I wanted to swap.Notwithstanding his shirt was a tad grubby and it stunk of stale sweat I told him that my shirt is my club and I had no desire to wear one from another club albeit I said it politely with a smile on my face.He turned and said ‘Respect ‘

Not quite swapped scarves,I think I've probably mentioned this before, but if you ho into the Black Horse London Deli pub on Union Street,San Francisco, you'll see my Wolves scarf hung on the wall by the tv.

Many years ago I ended up in Berlin with the RAF. Went to pub ( as you do) and met 4 fanatics who support FC Union Berlin.

They came over to see a game at Molineux and we went back for a game there.

It’s now an annual thing. Partners are now involved which makes it expensive

As an aside, I get to at least one Packers game every year too. ( relatives in Tennessee, but travel north from there)

Superb today. My only gripe being they need to be more clinical, at this level (as we saw against Leicester) we have to take our chances.

Currently staying in Bodrum and watched game at a bar called Uncle Festers in Gumbet.

Missus dragged me back to hotel as I may have drank too many Efes before and during game. Got out of elevator at hotel and a member of staff was waiting to step in, he beamed from ear to ear pointing at my shirt saying Wolverhampton and Champions. Made my day!

I’ve been thinking about going to a Union Berlin game for years. Love to go there.

If you go, pop into the bar next to Spindlesfeld S-Bahn station. All lads we go to Wolves with go there on match days.

Probably not the same bunch of lads but when we beat QPR in 2009 to go up I was sat by a load of Germans from Berlin. Said they come over now and again, about 8 of them. Good bunch of lads and I never mentioned the war

I'm in Malta right now. Upon arrival I picked up the keys to my rental car and stepped outside the airport terminal, the first Maltese guy I see looks at my Wolves cap and says "Wolverhampton Wanderers, my team", turns out he has family in the Midlands and watches Wolves as much as he can (every game now we're in the premier).

Last night I was in a bar and I asked the bar staff if they will show the Arsenal v Wolves match. The bloke beside me had a broad black country accent and asked if I was Arsenal (my accent is estuary). We're meeting up tomorrow to watch the Wolves!

All the football clubs here seem to have club houses (small bars) in the vicinity they represent. I drove past Ta' Giorno Wolves bar earlier. They seem to play in gold and black, I'll pop in there for a drink before I leave.

I tend to walk around my home town (near Bolton) wearing a wolves shirt, polo shirt or even a Wolves hat - My car has a rear screen wolves logo. I do my bit to promote the Wolves brand
The natives have taken a keen interest in me ( & Wolves) & often shout garbled salutations or gesticulate in my direction as we pass in the street. :D

I can remember getting in a taxi with the Mrs in Corfu in the 1990s to get from the airport to the hotel, the driver said "English? Who do you support?"

Obviously I said "The Wolves" to which he replied "I support Liverpool and Manchester United in England and Real Madrid and Barcelona in Spain".

I said "never heard of them to be honest", which was an answer that shut the ****er up and one he totally deserved. He day get a tip either, that was waiting for us in the shape of our hotel :)-.

So he got the last laugh, as he knew the hotel was rough and in fact overlooked the airport runway. Actually we still had a great fortnight there.

I thought for a moment that you said Miss Corfu, in which case the hotel might not have mattered as much ! (no disrespect to the lovely Mrs Reanswolf)

Once, wearing my Wolves top, bumped into some Rangers fans in Havanna, Cuba. They weren't very complimentary!

Were they wearing England tops or Rangers tops?

I know a few quite well. They sing a song about us and revere their “exploits” from a European cup game many moons ago. I hadn’t a clue what they were on about tbh

Yep. They took over Wolverhampton for the return leg of the 1960-61 European Cup Winners Cup Semi Final, second leg. We lost but we were missing the talisman for that season, Ted Farmer. With him in the side, we would have won that match. I knew some Rangers lads who used to drink in our local in Highgate, North London, late 80s early 90s. Good lads. These lot in Cuba were just ****s!
