i know its a long way off, but with David Jones suspended, and Edwards looking like he may be out for a few weeks...

Who would you play alongside henry for this game?

    Foley?
    Potter?
Bring back the WS1 messiah? ;)

I presume we have a call back option.

I just hope Mick does not mess around with the defence.

If Dave Edwards is injured then Davies or Foley will move into the centre and hopefully by then we will have another winger to occupy a place on the bench.

It will send a terrible message to Davies if he is back and we select a right back as centre midfield ahead of him. Who plays RB if we do.... Stearman didn't work at RB against Blackpool in my humble opinion and Foley isn't a right sided midfielder.

  8. I think it'll be Potter. I agree that Stearman didn't do well last night. Foley has been arguably the player of the season so far so he should be kept in the position that has earned him such an accolade. The line up IMHO should be:

    Ikeme

    Foley
    Collins
    Mancienne
    Ward

    Kightly
    Henry
    Potter
    Jarvis

I wouldn't be surprised to see a new face before then.

Otherwise, I'd be happy with Davies. He's done well on loan and is very highly rated by McCarthy - so why not?

This could be a blessing in disguise if Mark Davies gets his chance. If he gets in the side I can't see Jones or Edwards removing him from it.

Mancienne maybe? Providing we still have him.
I'd rather keep Foley at right back.

  12. Not sure why Mark Davies shouldn't get a start there if he and Henry are our only fit and ready centre midfielders available... although you can see Mick starting Stearman at right back and Foley in the middle alongside Henry. This option, however, would create issues with 'getting men in the box' and i fear we'd resort to the famous 'hoofball' tactics of yester-year if we played two defensively minded players in the middle... Potter isn't the answer for those suggesting him.

So my choice would be -

    Jarvis--Henry--Davies--Kightly

Who knows? This may be the opportunity he's been waiting for to impress for so long. If he gets the chance, he should take it, as theres no way he'd get near the bench with all available midfielders fit and Micks policy of 'earning' a place... Jason Shack.. who?

The two times that Foley has been moved into CENTRAL midfield he has been outstanding. I would prefer Davies in there but if for some reason he isnt available then Foley will certainly do a good job.

I think that Potter would be fine in there as long as he can be allowed to do the David Jones role and isn't expected to break everything up. I do think though that he'd be third in the pecking order behind Foley and Davies, as some have mentioned, two defensively minded central midfielders, especially for a home game, could be too negative, so I reckon it's a good time for Mr Davies to take another bow.

    Last night showed 1 thing

Don't $$$$ around with others to cover for 1 player.

Keep Foley at right Back, Davies or Gleeeson should play

Davies will definitely play if Edwards and Jones are out.
