Has finally turned up in the Championship, I've been critical of him a lot this season but tonight he was the KMac we saw in the second half of last season and built on a decent performance v Rotherham.

Let hope he can continue with the level of performance he showed tonight and make a real difference over the remainder of the season.

Couldn't agree more. Some of his passes did not come off tonight but he knows how to release a player, particularly the two up front. Excellent tonight.

His best game in ages tonight - bossed the midfield. Fulham are a team who allow you to play & he took full advantage.

Never doubted him at all. Need to remember his age too. Will only continue to improve.

Will judge him on the season not 2 games against mediocre opponents. His performance at Norwich was one of the worst player performances this season.

Well done on tonight though , can only beat what is in front of you but lets not get too excited after a couple if wins; it will only take a loss Saturday for everyone to be sulking again

  7. Very open game. Needs a couple of dogs to rat in there with him. Pleasantly surprised at how well Dave has done in there deeper.

The reason Kmac was able to stamp himself on the game was that he had help in the middle with Edwards and price playing narrow. Too many times he has to carry the can himself.

JW's post reads like he's in the middle still, played well after being very poor & needs to keep it up. It's the posters (not necessarilly on this thread) that go from KJ out to Manager of the season in a week that need to sort it out.

No Edwards was deep & very busy with Sako & Price tucking in from the wings playing wide midfielders instead of wingers. This gives McDonald more targets to pass forward to giving him more space rather than going to the full back always or picking the ball up inbetween the centre halfs.

Imperious tonight. The formation allowed him to play further forward, to his strengths and hey $$$$ing presto.....a good performance.

Don't agree entirely, all too often this season our centre midfield has been over run, last night it wasn't. We competed and have Fulham limited room to play their neat 1-2's through. Edwards was paramount in our formation last night and provided a very good sheild that allowed Kmac to venture forward and find pockets of space to find his range of passing.

Great performance though and a much needed 3 points

I think a lot of it is that he simply has a bit more movement and quality around him following the return of Sako and the purchase of Afobe.

Seems to have a good understanding of Afobe's movement in particular.

He played 10 yards further forward last night which for me always helps. Seemed happier to run with the ball too.

One pass he played was majestic. Didn't even look up, first time swept out to RVLP.

  16. Though maybe not goal of the season, the first goal on Saturday was seminal - because at last there was a striker creating space who McDonald could pick out. Poor Dicko has been carrying a heavy load on his own, so Afobe's movement and ability to retain the ball / convert chances in tight situations has lifted several players

Agree. Afobe's movement is majestic. He made a run across the backbone that Sako nearly picked out first half. Must be a dream to play behind.

I don't really agree with the assessment that KMac played well. For the first half, Fulham were nearly uncontested in the centre of the park. KMac did start playing far better in the 2nd, but by that time Fulham had all but gone home.

His pass last Saturday was amazing though.
