This might end up being moved to OT but Luton are the first Football League club to make a commitment to pay every employee the living wage. Good on them I say. Now it is up to other clubs to follow their example; almost all clubs can afford to pay the living wage, including Wolves, so $$$$ing well pay it!

Good on them. I suppose that might pose some problems if they ever get relegated out of League Two though.

BBC Site is censored in VN by my ISP.so I can't read the link .... out of interest what is the definition of a living wage ?

Reason I ask is I can't find it imagineable that any of the current Wolves squad are even 100 miles from the breadline.

I'm no expert but from what I'm aware it's a wage calculated for separate regions of the UK that represents a comfortable amount to live on rather than the crap minimum wage. For instance in London the living wage I believe is around £9.70 an hour compared to £6.30 or whatever minimum wage is.

It's not for the players or coaching staff it's aimed more at normal workers at the club eg catering staff etc
