Was just about to post the same. I think he'd be excellent, the perfect foil for Neves. I would expect him to go somewhere higher up the current food chain though. Although I certainly wouldn't rule it out based on recent activity.

He'll go to a top 6 club if Chelsea sell him. He will be a big big player

A top player who very much fits the Fosun model. I would be delighted if he came to us. Hopefully Jeff and Nuno could sell him "the project".

Brilliant player. Needs to leave Chelsea this summer if he’s not going to get regular games.

Said it at the start, Wolves should be all over this, imagine two Ruben's in our midfield.

Doubt it would happen, but I would take him in a flash. I'd want him to play for us as well.

Look at Ruben 2 to 3 years back when he broke through initially he was a slip of a lad now he looks a monster, I think we may have a simalar player in MGW. The simralarities are quite remarkable at the same ages. Hope MGW kicks on in the same mould.

I think what impresses me most about him is his physicality. Seems to tower over Alli/Lingard. Would be perfect next to neves IMO.

If the same happens with MGW and he fills out over the next couple of years he will be some player.

Must admit Loftus-Cheek would be my number one pick. Would also be happy with Jack Wilshere though.

A lot of us it seems have been thinking the same thing. He would be brilliant alongside Neves. If we are going to make a transfer splash this summer this is the man for me. Perfect age and massive potential. I would offer up to £35m fot him right now- he is that good.

Of course many other clubs would be in for him too and Chelsea may well decide to keep him and give him more first team exposure. But you have to dream right now don't you?

He is a very good player but doesn't fit into our formation at all. Unless Nuno is looking at changing the way we play next year, and I doubt this very much, then Wolves won't be remotely interested in signing him and neither should they be.

    Most importantly, he can play.
The icing is that he’s a monster as well.
Regular games and Nuno magic could turn RLC into a great player.

MGW being that bit earlier in his progression, I reckon he could do with the loan out for regular game time, not sure he’ll be getting as much pitch time as he needs/deserves in Prem.

He’ll be looking at better than us with how we would be perceived by the rest, we know that we are building something big and it’s the potential of that that would convince someone to choose us over an established premiership club.

    Probably.

Might depend on how he rates Patrício ;)
    Or the other Ruben.

If he didn’t have top club offers with some guarantees about game time, I’d fancy our chances in a best of the rest race.

In fact...with some of the **** they have in CM at Chelsea (Bakayoko, Drinkwater) I’d keep him and play him.

Why not? He is a powerful and skilful attacking midfielder who would complement Neves perfectly. Move Saiss to the back three

It could be a concern that it would mean Neves doing more defensive work and detracting from him, but then the creative duties wouldn’t weigh on him quite as exclusively.
At least Loftus-Cheek is fast and strong, as opposed to the same situation style-wise with Wilshire but without the physicality.

Surely Palace will be in for him? It was basically the RLC and Zaha show to keep them up wasn't it

Let's blow everyone else out of the water and use some of Fosun's financial muscle to stun our rivals. RLC would represent the kind of signing that might take us into 6th to 8th territory in the Premiership which is surely what the club is aiming at.

You'd think Rui Patricio was also out of our reach, but we sold him on "the project". Don't see why we couldn't with a player like Loftus-Cheek, who is not established yet.

My reasoning was because hes an attacking midfielder which we dont play with. Saiss + Neves both sit deeper to allow wingbacks to fly forward

Neves is our key defensive midfielder and against all but the top six I don't think we necessarily need two defensive central midfield players. A creative attacking midfielder of RLC's class and sheer size can still do his defensive duties when needed.

Relying too much on the wing backs to create is a bit one dimensional. RLC offers a new dimension to any attack because of his creative skills and sheer presence at 6ft 3 or more.

But it would take a bit of a miracle for us to get him and I think Nuno is looking for an aggressive, muscular destroyer for midfield.

We do play with 2 defensive midfielders and high up wing backs who Neves uses to create space, playing 2 DM won't work clearly. RLC can play DM but will he want to

I think we might see different attributes from all of our different midfield players which offers us different things against different opposition like we had this season which was

    Deep-lying playmaker (Neves)
    Solid Defensive midfielder (Saiss)
    Box-to-box type (N’Diaye)
Technical beat a man type (MGW)

Loftus-Cheek would be a good addition and I think could suit the box-to-box type role that Alf did last season. I just think he will stay in the Chelsea squad next season.

Chelsea must be bonkers if they are letting him go. Nuts. If he goes to a top 4/5 rival- I just don't understand what they are playing at. He'll probably end up at Liverpool, which means I will hate him forever.
