After watching Ipswich tonight with all their injuries,a lot of teams above us at the moment might well struggle if they pick up injuries within there teams, and with Wolves having probably the largest squad out of the lot,why not keep them here and go for it because imo it's there for the taking.

We probably have about 18 players and quite a few squad fillers.

I counted our squad last night and including the unwanted bomb squad we have over 30 players.

It definitely needs trimming if we want to sign some quality. We need a squad of about 25.

I think we have a decent first X1 but lack depth in mf, out wide and up front so I'd argue pretty strongly that our squad is not strong enough for promotion. With injuries and Sako away we are well short imo.

We probably don't have that big a squad really, our numbers are inflated by having the "bomb squad" still on the books. We still have Johnson, Doyle, Boukari and Margreitter at the club, unlikely to get a game. As I see it, including Afobe we have a First Team Squad of 26 players, 4 of which are long term injuries, and one of which is unavailable for the next month.

Slightly OT but I found watching Ipswich profoundly depressing esp Christophe Berra who still persists in that aimless, hopeful air ball up the pitch to be swallowed up by the defender. That one thing just sums up for me the way we played for years - hit and hope. Thank God we rarely, if ever, see that type of ball played at Molineux now.

I think it's good to loan out the squad players who aren't currently making an impact, like Saville.
If it frees up space to get a decent loan signing that improves the first 11 i'm all for it

Why why why can't a centre half find feet, fair enough sometimes the clip up field is the only option but he played 4 in a row.

    People to loan out:

Bomb squad (if possible, if they can't be sold or have their contracts cancelled)

Macca - needs to go back to L1 and get regular game time.
Saville - he can barely get on the bench, and won't get any better that way.
Leon - if we can get some better strikers, send him back on loan to L1.

I'd like to see Jacobs and Evans getting regular game time on loan, but we need them as cover / an option for midfield (Evans in particular). I think Jacobs needs a loan spell to get up to speed and hopefully get his confidence back.
