Right the window is closed but the loan window opens on Monday
Any suggestions of who we could try and get?
Mayuka at Southampton might be one. Knockaert at Leicester. Grealish.
Frazier Campbell, Nick Powell are a few I had thought of.

Could someone just cut the 4,000 names on the January Window thread and paste them on here?!

KJ doesn't do short-term loans unless he really has to or we can buy said player at the end of the season. I doubt we are targeting anyone. Would concentrate on Jordan Graham getting fit and featuring in and around the bench, displacing Jacobs.

You know what, I am going to start getting excited when the club says they are after someone. If you look at the closed window, they club said we wouldn't do anything, but the fans couldn't quite believe it was the truth......turns out they do tell us the truth after all! Yep, it surprised me too?

Am I alone in thinking that signing a loan striker would stop all the moans and change the tone of debate preventing a further negative drone. So get in the zone, pick up the phone Jez, listen to the dialling tone and hone your persuasive skills, conecentrate, so that those who have a bone to pick with you and think of you as a Knownentity on this occasion only admit you have shown a new conefidence and grown a pair. Tony someone on loan not Joan or some posh Sloane. If he's a Swede then Kronor from the owner or another donor.

    Just don't sit there.

Serge Gnabry could be a good addition. Just back from a lengthy injury and Wenger will likely be keen he gets game time. Alternatively, Grealish would make sense too although I'd be surprised if Villa loan him out.

As others have said, much of our January business has been in shipping players out, either on loan for game time, or off the wage bill. It seems reasonable to assume we may be targeting one or more relatively high wages loan signings, with a view to purchase in the summer should we get promoted. #glasshalffull

Oh that should be exciting, we can go after Chris Woods all summer after establishing we cannot meet his valuation or his wages, and that he wants to stay to fight for his place at Leicester.:D

Nick Powell would solve the issue of cover in both the Number 10 and striking positions.

I don't think you can ever be too cautious so if we don't sign 2 strikers, 2 central midfielders, 3 right backs, 2 left backs, 4 central defenders and 7 goalkeepers I'm giving up on this $$$$ poor excuse for a club.

Very much agree. On loan can't see that we would have much to lose. And yet and yet I will be amazed if the club do a thing and if they do it will be to bring in some unknown.

Going by the stories Grealish seems the most likely but I've learnt to believe nothing until it's an irrefutable fact. As such the club may do no business at all but then again make a few signings.

I wouldn't be averse to Grealish and would have welcomed Lingard but I have a feeling I would like a bit of experience to play alongside an already young side.I don't mean old with no resale value but if you look at Derby and Middlesbrough they have sides interspersed with experience.
I can't offer specific options but I would like a bit of nous introduced .

Ok I can appreciate some of these players look good in patches or on FM or something & are at big clubs but what have they ever done? Have you ever watched Eusebio in training & games, he's a different breed at times but again he's never done anything.

Some of these players are nothing more than good on paper signing when in fact they will add nothing more to the squad then swan off back to their cushy 15k a week at a big club whilst being 22 & never playing.

We have our own academy players to progress, you can't tell me Blackett would have been as good as Iorfa.

Despite my worries about the overall management of the Club, I would actually be pretty surprised if we don't bring in a loan player, particularly now that are down to the bare bones, striker wise, with our third option being a non-scoring player who has barely played much this season and wants to leave.

Graham Dorrans will move to Birmingham City or us when the loan window opens next week.
Tim Cahill would be nice for us,but has he already been snapped up.

On another note and nice to see:
Expensive flop Paul Taylor could end up costing Ipswich Town almost £3,000 per minute of competitive action, after being ordered to stay away from the training ground by manager Mick McCarthy.
