How much did I enjoy their defeat by Histon?

Will my feelings for them ever change?

    No!

SMSed my Leeds supporting mate last night after the game, with a view to winding him up by saying that "at least they could concentrate on the League now" :)

He said that he was wearing his Leeds shirt to a hawker centre (a sort of cheap food bazaar) a few days ago here in Singapore, and said that even the hawker he ordered food from noticed the badge and started taking the $$$$. And this was before the FA Cup game. :D

Haha... at least it was recognised though, how many people in Singapore would know who Wolves are? It'll take a while for Leeds' reputation to die down, hopefully a swift demise of the club will help it on it's way. Hate them!

It was really weird seeing this on tele (and far more entertaining than Manure v $$$$$ty City). My elder lad used to play Boys and Colts football in the Cambs and District League in the 90s (Dad running the line, etc), and we regularly played Histon in their red and black stripes on the pitch next door to the one on which mighty Leeds met their match, in fact you could see it behind one of the goals.

Having this weekend also bought Wolves the Complete Record in the club shop, I discovered another odd family fact. SEB, who is two years younger than the same son, played for Cherry Hinton Lions as a boy. They were in the same league as Histon and the team my lad played for (Bar Hill), and I'm pretty sure SEB was in the Cherry Hinton team he used to play against. I always thought the name rang a bell, and now I realise why. Cherry Hinton were quite a side -- I remember several 6 and 7 goal thrashings.

I was in Cambridge during and after the game - it was a great atmosphere. Glad to see Leeds lose. :)

You'd be surprised how many of the older folks know Wolves. I used to regularly go for local games in my Wolves top and I'd get people pointing to the badge (in recognition of my stupidty probably) :)

Mind you the kids know bugger all...
