What reason did he come on for? 30 seconds to go and they bring him on knowing it would cause a reaction from wolves fans.

He then decided to acknowledge us like he was proud of himslef the $$$$.

IMO this was a stupid decision from Notts County in terms of the club/ spectators. Families and children go to games and I'm sure hearing chants of 'murderer' is not the way to encourage children to come to football!

P.s loved it when jody beat him to the ball ;) don't think Hughes touched it!

i have no idea, bringing on a sub that late in a pre season friendly never happens anyway unless of injury, Clearly hughes wanted to get on the pitch at some point for whatever reason.

He's pathetic, most people would live the the rest of their life in shame after doing what he did, but he openly shows no remorse and gloats!

It's so unfair that those poor people in Norway have had there life's cut short yet he can run about a football pitch and still earn obscene amours of money. He is the definition of SCUM and I'm glad he has no association with our club, if I was a Notts County fan I'd be embarrassed when celebrating a goal he's scored.

He should constantly be reminded of what he did by fans up and down the country

  7. So when he plays against Wolves and gets the abuse he is showing no remorse and gloating? Anybody who gets into a car under the influence is a potential murderer.

Yeah but he ran off leaving someone behind in the wreck to die!

  10. What in your opinion is a punishment befitting somebody who drives a car while over the legal limit (bearing in mind they are potential murderers)?

The fact of the matter is that he committed a crime then acted in cowardice in trying to avoid it. he served a lesser sentence than deserved then still acts like a $$$$. I have absolutely no time for people like that. Sure, I may have driven borderline over the limit but not to the extent that I would act a coward when the repercussions come back around.

He is a disgusting creature who doesnt deserve to be playing football at any level. He should be ashamed of his actions.

  13. He is a vile scum bag. A complete waste of oxygen.

He has the cheek to sing Stevey Bulls a tatter. Steve Bull is a legend. ...

If anyone is confused, head to YouTube, you'll find the videos.

  14. Yes I know that and yes it is a low life scummy thing to do but how is he by entering a football field gloating or taunting Wolves supporters? In fact what evidence is there that the bloke isn't remorseful etc for what he did? If you give him abuse then expect something back and stop whimpering about it (not you personally).

We've had this before. To refer to Lee Hughes as a murderer is libellous - please do not do it.

Whatever the legal term for his crime he went to prison for something connected with that incident. What really annoys me (apart from his attitude) is that he, probably more than any other person in that club, could afford a taxi home. In factoid he wanted to get that $$$$ed he could have a chaffeur.

hughes was convicted of causing death by dangerous driving so surely he can be referred to as a killer as thats what he did. He is also a low life coward who doesnt deserve the life football has probably given him.

No, he can no longer be refered like that, he is a fine individual who is a role model to us all. Careful what you call him from now on, I called him what he is and look what happened, your post will be deleted.

What I hate most about these Lee Hughes things is it brings people out of the woodwork saying they've been absolutely hammered and driven home so they don't blame Hughes, then say something like "we've all done it." We've not all done it, I'm hoping most of us would never do it, it doesn't make Hughes any better it just lowers them more towards his level.

Anyway, he made his mistake and did his time, if he kept a low profile and showed a bit of humility for the second chance he'd got it wouldn't be so bad but he's an arrogant $$$$ by all accounts.
Obviously Joey Barton's not done anything of this magnitude but he had a shady past and has since calmed down, seems intelligent enough when you hear him speak and looks like he's tried to change his ways - that's got him a bit more slack with the public I think. Hughes deserves everything he gets.

Thats the first time I`ve had the horrible experience of seeing that video. What a role model he is to youngsters, swearing and acting like a yob Do you think he is sponsored by a tobacco company as well.?

The home fans supporting him on their forum, despite knowing what he`s like are pathetic.

For what he did at yesterdays game the Notts County manager should be called to account for bringing him on for 30 seconds in a friendly. It was done IMV purely to stir up controversy with the Wolves fans and should be seen as insiting potential trouble. I would love to hear his tactical reasons for his decision.

IMO I thought the substitution was laughable, pointless and a disgrace. Just to wind us fans up. If anything happened off the pitch and it was a league game, I'd like to think he'd of provoked it all.

Before his crime, Lee Hughes and I hate to say it was a good goalscorer and I'll credit that but after what he did he'll only be remembered for one thing.

He should not be allowed on a football pitch but to suffer what he did.

Hopefully one day what goes around comes around and hopefully he'll then realise what a low life, unrespectful human being he is.

He ran off and left a man to die, how are you going to defend him for doing that?

If he had stayed and called for help, he may still be alive today.

  32. That was an Albion FA Cup game last season, Leicester I believe.

There are more videos on YouTube, singing lord's my shepherd and after all the Albion fans start singing Hughesie Hughesie.

It makes me sick. Not only is he a very lucky boy to be not eating prison food right now. He is lucky to have job and a job that pays £2,000 a week!!

He then smokes and is $$$$ed out of his face.

Remorse? He doesn't give a flying $$$$ about who he killed and the damage he has done.

I don't know enough about what he did or didn't do in his past in terms of his convictions to comment, but with regards to the boing boing shirt and his cameo appearance, I think it's just childish.

If you look at the Notts board, the majority refer to Hughes as a "legend" and deplore those against him, calling them "boring". Sorry, am I 13 years old in the playground, again? The shirt act was stupid and rather selfish. He put his personal life in front of his club and thus, incurred potential violence. Granted, for the most part, the minority of moronic Wolves fan were culpable for the incident, but I would argue that Hughes' action was the catalyst that riled them up.
His appearance last night I found quite troubling. It seems as though the Notts management are prepared to risk the welfare of their supporters just to give a bloke a cheeky cameo and wind up people up. There was no clear benefit to his being on the pitch with 30 seconds remaining.

  34. The funny thing is he is not a 'tough guy' at all.

If you walked into a pub with your Wolves shirt on and he was in there on his own he would $$$$ his pants.

    All mouth, always has been.
