Well done to Tim for getting so many articles from one interview
Totally puts everything into perspective though
10 year plan from Fosun,3 year plan for promotion, and we are only in year 2
As JS says we are the most improved team in this league, absolutely right
We still have a great opportunity for promotion this season and stay ahead of schedule, and again he says if others had the ambition they would spend like us if they could
A little dig at Leeds there I'm sure, but also affirming Fosun will continue to spend whatever the outcome of this season
They are commited to the project, and realise there will be ups and downs, they are learning still, god help the rest when they know what they are doing

Using that building analogy - Rome was not built in a day.

We look at our team and it is not perfect. Yes we lack certain strengths.
But compare tonights team to the team sheet one day before Fosun bought us.
We have built a table topping side from that !

I like this bit - The chairman explained: "Everyone wants to shoot at us because we're top of the league. I like this feeling more than before.”

  7. Because we are so emotionally attached to the club it is easy for us to lose sight of the big picture and appreciate just how far we have come since Fosun took over.

We have seen huge, huge changes to the team, staff, playing style, recruitment strategy, club ethos and results. Besides all that the clubs engagment (and consequently relationship) with the fans has also improved massively.

As fans we tend to live game to game or more accurately result to result. Wins bring us joy and rapture and losses feel like the end of the world.

Our problem is that our fanbase is so desperate for success, the vast majority of us now have heard of past glories from family and friends but never really experienced it ourselves to any great extent and we are hungry to do so. And those supporters who were around to see the 50’s and 70’s games really want Wolves to get back to that again too.

So for many Wolves fans (especially the core die hard fans) success can’t come soon enough. Which makes every loss or wobble feel like a major setback.

What these articles show is that nothing has happened or is happening that Fosun are not aware of, are not prepared for or do not have a contingency plan for.

No stone has been left unturned and no “i” has been left undotted or “t” uncrossed - Fosun are meticulous in their planning, steel minded in their ambition and ruthless in their execution.

So fans should take heart and reassurance from these articles and perhaps it will help give a better overall sense of perspective.

The message is clear, we are actually ahead of schedule - but even if it wasn’t this year it is just a matter of ‘when we reach the premier league’ now and not “if”.

Finally we have owners that not only have a plan, but also have the will and the resources to see it through to a successful end.

Make no mistake, Fosun are taking Wolverhampton Wanderers to the very top and we are very lucky to have them.

    UTW!

Well said. Sometimes it takes an outsider to bring a bit of perspective, and you can't get much more of an outsider than a Chinese investment company who are learning about the football industry but learning fast.

Very timely and good to read. With the team threatening to massively outdo the School of 2002's capitulation, it will hopefully take the pressure of them.

As one of those who were around, supporting our great Club since 1956, I can echo the sentiments of the OP wholeheartedly.
An excellent read and well put TW.

I started going in 1961 and the late 60s and early 70s sides were so enjoyable to watch. I want that back before I die.

    Me too wk.
Started in 1956 and followed them through thick and thin.
In fact I reckon in the dark days under The Bhattis, I felt TOTALLY passionate about standing up and being counted as a loyal Wolf, irrespective of which division we were in.

Random bump? But great to look back at the "10 year plan" and to be comfortably 7th in the PL half way into year 3. Incredible really. Unbelievable...

Its all to easy to take what we have now for granted, the technical quality of our team consistently delivered has never been better in Wolves history.
We should ALL just enjoy each game as they arrive and not get carried away with thoughts about our future.

Love this Wolves squad and all the staff who make it possible.
