Good news, but I hope and trust we will be very careful with easing him back in.
Good news - I'm sure he won't be rushed back.
Is he Havoc or Mayhem?
Hasn't he only played 1 half of a reserve game (Birmingham Senior Cup V Stourbridge) has he been given enough opportunities to "test" himself? I know we've missed him but is it really worth rushing him back yet just to have him break down again?
Fantastic news, we carried little threat on the flank opposite to Kites on saturday, it will be brilliant to have him back
Well, if he's played 45 minutes, felt like he could've done more, and the machines in our gym are saying his hamstring is almost back to 100%, surely a 15/20 minute cameo is not beyond him? He just needs to do a lot of running in training as that's such a big part of his game, slowly building up to full pace. Can easily imagine him coming on, trying to outpace their full back and getting injured again without proper build-up.
We dont want a Kieron Dyer on our hands
As a sub do you really get to warm up that well? - a few runs down the touchline - so coming on and trying to go flat out may be more of a concern than doing the full warm up and coming on from the start...dunno - would love to see him back as that gives Kites more freedom and we can start playing the way we did at the start of the season....
I presume as a sub you can warm up however you want. Normally they just jog down the touchline, but suppose if Jarvis wanted to leg it full pace he could do!
Great news about 'Jarvo' - it'll be tremendous to see him back; we can only be stronger with him in the starting XI.
Strangely I can't believe how quickly time has flown by since his injury!
However take your time Matt and don't push it - we need you over the course of the season, not a handful of games. It'd be nonsensical to risk further injury.
Agree with that. When we play next week it will be almost two weeks since he played that 45 minutes in his comeback and I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench against QPR.
if this is as accurate as their calculations of how much MM has spent put it in the rubbish bin..
Fully expect a Jarvis-free squad on Saturday, however would not be shocked to see him on the bench on the Tuesday.
Probably because we have coped fine without him - similarly to Elokobi and Craddock.
This was on main site a few days ago but was missed by quite a few I suppose, probably due to all the Blues game stuff surrounding it. I.E. it's not E&S bull$$$$!
Whilst we have done ok we have not played as well without Jarvo...
Great news just hope we dont rush him back too quickly maybe give him a few minutes on saturday.
Or Tony Daley. I well remember one of his heralded comebacks. One sprint & he was off again. Luckily as fitness coach he should be aware of the need to ease Jarvis back slowly.
