Asking for a friend...
Yes. I'm not afraid to admit I just got home and started blarting! COME ON ME BABBIES!
My Dad drove me around the country when I just was a kid in the 4th Division days. It was a 5-hour trip to Molineux just to watch us play home games against teams like Halifax and Aldershot.
He had some serious health issues a few years back (during the McCarthy era) and I’ve always felt that our success in that promotion season played a huge role in his recovery.
After all those hard times together, to get to share tonight with him has left me a little choked up and tearful (although I think it’s just a bit dusty in here).
I'm still slightly annoyed by Man City. My dad's just *******ed me about it.
Over the moon.....regardless of the rest of the season or the cup, on our first year back, we tossed Liverpool and United from the cup and into the semifinal.
In the league we won or drew with 5 out of 6 (so far), top six teams and we’re currently in 7th.
Just as giddy as a 14 year old......
Not afraid to say I sobbed when Jota scored, think it was the pent up tension I've had all day, on cloud 9
Im not emotional. I’m floating.
But then, I am at home, in my chair, a few beers in.
Might be different had I been fortunate enough to attend.
I'm quite calm. I thought we bossed it and I never felt panicked. Strange, because I was nervous before the game but once it started I was fine.
I couldn’t quite find the words to describe how I felt when Jota scored. I still can’t quite find words for it.
Yes. Held back the tears... just. The passage of play at the end where we were toying with them to 'Ole's from the crowd was surreal. This was ****ing Man Utd. Outplayed them, outfought them, outscored them. And Sarri said last week we were 'disorganised'. And after we had thrashed his team Pellegrini said 'we should be beating teams like Wolves'. Well they can all **** right off. WE'RE WOLVERHAMPTON. WE'RE ON OUR WAY BACK!!!!!!!!
In tears, having a Guinness...
Actually we’re all up here......had to move some on over to #10....#11...
Not overcome by any specific emotion.
Just calm and contented knowing we outplayed and deservedly beat Man United...with relative ease. ... #WeAreWolves!!
Wembley here we come.
Yep. I loved last season but never in my wildest dreams did l see how this season would go.... Wanderers are well and truly back! ****ing loving it!!
Called my other half at the end and had no voice left....
Message l sent my other half, who is a lot younger than me and a bit of a Chavski fan (though l'm working on it, lol)...
You said that you were surprised that Wolves beat Man U. Wolves haven't been great over the last 20 years but it wouldn't have been surprising when l was growing up. I was at Molineux in the 70s when we beat Chelsea 7-1...
Very much so - coming from Stretford and from a United-supporting family this was very very special for me!
We "wanted it more" and for the first time in decades actually had the quality to pull it off too!!
Just feeling Dave Clark Five.
Two matches to go..I want that silverware.
If I wasn’t intoxicated I’d cry. I feel like it isn’t real. For us younger folk that never got to see the glory days (or even the Sherpa van trophy!) today was so so special. I’ve grown up listening to my parents stories of trips to Wembley and now I finally get to go and experience it for myself.
Watched in a big footy bar in Brooklyn. All Man U fans. Mexican cooks ran out of the kitchen when Raul scored. He is huge over here. man U fans all shook my hand as I left with me old gold on. Special night, and the wife has said I can go to Wembley. I'm not waiting on the final. I'm getting old.
I have a semi
I had tears a plenty .My late dad and father in law would be loving this .They both saw our glorious period .Our turn now .
Literally hugged everyone around me when Jota scored - and the people behind don’t half annoy me most of the time!!!
Yes, l'm thinking about my Dad....went to his first game in 1932...I wish I could share this with him....
I have had two buzz words today that would be a million miles from reality pre Fosun.
Before the match, it was REALISTIC.
After the match, it is DESERVED.
My sentiments exactly. Not overcome, just contentment I'll probably sob if we make it to the Final and win.
I'm buzzing, but it's a strange feeling as I expected us to win. How far have we come
I'll be in NYC the weekend of the Burnley match and will need a place to watch, which bar is it?
I am just calmly having a few glasses of red!!
Cracking mate....We'll have South America and China sewn up at this rate
Thanks for sharing!
Teared up like a child. God, this is brilliant stuff for an old man like me. Never thought I'd go to Wembley again. A lifetime's ambition about to fulfilled - going to Wembley with my son. Father and son. So proud of the whole club, so pleased for Nuno, the players, and our incredible supporters. Living the dream at my age. Unbelievable.
You shared his semi ?
I'm focussed and staying humble.
Yep. All my life Wolves have been ****
I am so proud
Who`d have thought we`d of seen off both Liverpool and Manchester United on the way to Wembley! Just think of that!
I've never been so proud of my team.
