I was really surprised Iorfa wasn't playing today.
I like Doherty but rate Iorfa as better.
    Who would you all play?
Iorfa all the way for me.

Iorfa is a better defender but going forward i much prefer Doherty. He makes better runs, not to mention that he can play a better final ball. In the long term however Iorfa will be a top top player.

I thought Matt was excellent today (see arctic no vendetta) but feel he takes a lot of games to get right. Iorfa is a talent but is very tounf

Doherty played really well today his best game for ages and linked well with VLP, but Iorfa for me when fit (?). Doherty will do for when Iorfa needs to be taken out of the firing line though.

Iorfa will be a big player, hopefully for us, in the future. Right now I don't think there's much in it. Doherty when he plays well is a very good player as well, like GB said, he really does have good attacking movement around the opposition penalty area for a young full back.

Both. Iorfa is only 19 and a few months into his first full season as a professional. His workload will need to be managed, and I don't think Doherty will let anyone down. Long term Iorfa will be a superb talent, but right now we need both.

In time they will probably both play, as iorfa may move to centre back

I think iorfa has more potential, but maybe it depends on who we are playing and who is playing right wing. If RVLP then maybe doherty, if a narrow midfield with no right sided player, maybe iorfa

    Nice problem to have

Sounded great today Doherty. Think Iorfa didn't do much to be dropped though.

I wouldn't have blamed Doherty so will need to see it again, Prefer Iorfa but thought Doherty had a good game and would play him next week.

Foe me its Golbourne or Hause! Golbourne must be injured to not get in the team!!!

The ball was played through the Inside Right channel so why would Iorfa have been there when that was Stearman's position and his man who ran through?

Great competition but the Doc really has his work cut out going forward.....it can only push him.

Enjoyed the day, felt a bit flat at end of game, if I'm honest, as thought we should have won. Are you going next week, no train home but thinking of a stop-over in London?

Iorfa - not to say Doherty isn't a good solid defender though.

And whilst on the subject of difficult choices....is it purely a matter of time before Hause is switched to his more natural central position ahead of Danny?

Perhaps not right now as Danny is the Wolves poster boy & a massive symbol of our recovery following our fall from grace under Solbaken/Saunders - & of course not to mention the team captain. But as I said difficult choices...

    Doherty is a low-end Championship full-back.

    Iorfa is already a low-end Premiership full-back.

There is no comparison. One is a fantastic defender, the other lets crosses come in all day.

If Iorfa had played today, we'd have won.

Goldbourne and iiorfa is the way FORWARD.

Iiorfa probably needed resting. No issue. Although I reckon he'd have got round and covered the first.

Doc is a good player at this level, but its obvious Iorfa has the capability to step up to a much higher level.

Cant see why there is a post criticising Hause tbh. He has done a decent job at left back when its obvious he is a center half. He shouldn't ever be considered as anything more than a fill in at left back.

    Wrong question for me completely.

Hause or Golbourne. Cannot understand why Golbourne is in and out of the team. Much more of an outlet going forward too. Why Kenny keeps trying to shoehorn Hause in at left back is worrying.

I like Hause, i think he'll make an exceptional CB (fingers crossed) - but he's out of his comfort zone at LB when he's playing further up the pitch.

Ifora is much better athlete. Doherty is a better footballer. If we could combine them both we would have an incredible player.

Rubbish, Iorfa is flavour of the month, the new guy everyone is getting carried away with. Doc actually plays with composure and offers more going forward than raw pace and erratic crosses.

They're 'managing' his foot problem. My guess is that, with 10 (possibly 13!) games left, it will be Hause and occasionally Golbourne at left back, and Golbourne will have surgery in the close season.

Doherty played very well yesterday, by far his best performance for a very long time IMO. However I would still rather have Iorfa in the team over Doherty and that is because Iorfa is an exceptional talent where Doherty is an average championship player.

I was gutted on Tuesday when I heard Doherty and Hause were playing ahead of Iorfa and Golbourne and it didnt surprise me that we were 2nd best in that game.

I was even more gutted on hearing that Iorfa and Golbourne had been overlooked once again against Watford (though at least glad to hear that Price was starting). Iorfa didnt even make the bench ffs and I want to hear this week that there was a very good reason for that.

Whichever way you look at it we have dropped important points this week and lost touch with the top 5 when we could have been right up there. That means these last 2 results has this week has been a complete failure and Jackett could barely have done worse.

I have been a staunch supporter of Jackett. I was not calling for his head or doubting him when we lost 5 in a row before xmas. But his selections this year and these last 2 games in particular have made me seriously question his ability to make the right decisions on team selections and substitutions.

Yesterday may have been a very watchable, open and entertaining end to end game, but it was a poor game in terms of how we played IMO. Watford played a much more structured, organised and competitive game than we did and that was disappointing for me. Watford had the better chances and were much the better team on the day IMO.

I do think it would have been very different if we had played Iorfa and Golbourne because they add so much to us. We completely lose the ability to develop play down the left by playing Hause ahead of Golbourne. Iorfa adds pace and steel to the defence and gets forward well too and battles well in a physical game like yesterday.

Iorfa for me but he had suffered a noticeable drop in form (which is understandable for such a young player) so I had no issues with Doherty being recalled.

Too early to say about Iorfa, but so far he's far better than Doherty, who has too many flaws in his defensive game.

Doherty's very good going forward, but he needs to work on his positioning and stopping crosses. Hopefully, our coaching staff are looking at both.

They both have the same amount of assists this season. Doherty can't defend and is 23, he'll never learn that. Iorfa's attacking will improve with time.
