Many will know about my family involvement with the now defunct Hereford Utd.I am pleased to announce that the Pheonix is rising and that the new club have been granted a lease for Edgar Street and things are moving on apace.
It is not known what League they will be placed in next season but interviews for the new Manager will shortly be taking place and the quality of the candidates is exceptional all things considered.
The long road back has begun thanks to some fantastic work behind the scenes. It will take a long time but let us hope that pride will return soon .
It might not mean much to some on here or the glamour and greed of the PL but it does to many/ most true football fans.

I've seen something similar happen to Telford Utd, and it's been great watching AFC Telford rise from the ashes, becoming a stronger team on and off the pitch because of it. As well as attracting a new fan base. I can see Hereford doing the same in several years time. Enjoy the journey.

This is very good news and hopefully Hereford will quickly be playing football again at a more senior level. It is sad to see the demise of once proud clubs. Unfortunately Kidderminster Harriers are fast heading for the same fate as Hereford as once again their players have not been paid this week and the club is being ruined by an utterly incompetent board of directors.

Best wishes for this. A place like Hereford deserves a football team, it's an historic city.

Hopefully you will have as good of a time rising through they leagues as Chester have done. Do think they've missed a great opportunity to have the club solely in the supporters hands though.

Good luck Jonzy! I have a far greater affinity with the smaller clubs and I hate it when they go under. I suppose FC Utd and AFC Wimbledon have shown you can start from near the bottom and progress spectacularly. I would think getting the right manager in is a very big first step on the march up the leagues. I hope they get their League status back some time soon.

I heard he is on the managerial black list now anyhow

seriously though thats great news about Hereford and I am really happy to hear they have stayed at Edgar Street as I was quite worried it might be lost to developers considering its prime location in the town.

I wonder what league they will start in?

honestly I am way more interested in the likes of Hereford Utd, Willenhall fc etc than I am in the EPL!

Lower leagues have way more character and feel to them: the stuff that money can't buy

Great news, enjoyed some good trips to Edgar Street, particularly the year we were banned:p.

Yes I was there that year. That ban didn't really work did it? Be nice if we could play a friendly down there this summer. Give them a helping hand.

Me too. Played there once many moons ago. Like others I follow a couple of small non-league teams, secondary to Wolves of course.

Let's get a pre-season friendly organised - great day out - and better than that red and white lot up the road!

It will be a predominantly fan ownership club.HUST(The Supporters Trust ) are the only ones allowed to have more than 25% ownership and no individual or corporate entity will be allowed to own this amount.
It might not seem much but they started selling season tickets yesterday when fans don't even know what Division they will be playing in and around 150 were sold on the first day.
The new club will have their first ever game against Malvern on the 7th July .

Will never forget the SVT game there where we must have taken 6000. Always a good club and obviously the connections with Turner, Bully and Matt Murray's knee which must be lying in the mud somewhere still, wish them all the best.

Have been working in Hereford for the last three months and met a few Trust members, very committed bunch, know their football, so pleased this is going again for them.
