I know it's a bit early and we've got todays game at Blackpool first.
However, how are you guys getting to St Andrews?

Im considering driving, but unsure on where to park. Does anyone have any (safeish) suggestions?

Not particularly looking forward to it after the trouble the last time we played there. Went on the train (never again!) and got hurled with chairs/bottles/glasses from one particular pub.

Coach is probably the safest route but its a bit pricey!

What price your health Wolves_Gal? Top dollar to get a Police escort via Travel Club or chance getting beaten up by scum en route to/from your car?

Says the bloke who's driving down himself.

Blose is just one of those places where your never really safe unless you get the coach to be honest. It always feels like its going to kick off when you come out of the ground.

We park in the backstreets and so far apart from seeing a few scuffles most years, we've been fine.

Never felt unsafe at Blues, always gone by train, made sure it's been full of Wolves.

Had plenty of fun though ;-)

Any indication as to how ticket sales are going for this? I hear that blues are making it pay on the gate in the home ends.

Yeah coach is just hassle though, to be fair id prefer to drive, I just don't know if its a good idea.

Hopefully we've sold a few tickets, would be interesting to a see figure though. Cant moan at ticket prices and its only down the road.

Bearing in mind your username, I'd probably go by coach. Where do you live, as there might be some supporter clubs who are doing the coaches a little bit more reasonable and you can drive to where they run from? The K'ford Wolves for example.

Go by train this year and you'll be subject to the biggest police operation in years, as Sandwell Town are at home and you can guarantee the cheap ticket prices will bring all of the boys out on both sides.

We're getting a taxi from Sedge/Gornal, drink round Corporation Street and then taxi into the ground. Afterwards, we'll take our chances walking back, but if there are enough of our undesirables about I reckon they will get escorted straight back to the station.

The last time, we must have just been behind you Gal as we also got the bricks, bottles and chairs after we came up the hill. For the first time ever, I was quielty pleased to be with the Old Subway Army lads as it was the safest escort to the station I've ever had.

I'm going to be with a few lads from Redditch who both support Wolves and Blues and will be drinking in the town centre and then head to the ground via taxi so shouldent be any problems beforehand. It's usually when you come out the ground that you feel like a running target for snipers as the noses are looking for anyone who wants a bit of aggro so keep your head down and you should be fine

We are going by the train, it may be a bit hairy, but we will keep our heads down.

On the way into Molineux on Friday I heard announcement saying there were 1000 tickets left, so that's 3000 sold then.

Apparently you can park in the compound where the coaches park, it just takes an age to get out afterwards.

3000 is a decent following but i really thought we would sell out.

I think that might be where I'm going then. Who cares if it takes an age to get out as long as it's in one piece.

  23. I'm also going by car, I think it's a death wish, I wouldnt walk around that area during the day never mind at night with a football match on.

    Where's everyone thinking of parking?

Any tips on where NOT to park??

Just a word of warning. I'm not 100% sure on the facts, but I hear our moronic knuckledragging element went on the rampage last Saturday and 'smashed up'/caused trouble at the Square Peg. I hear both sets of 'supporters'/morons could be heading back to that vicinity tonight in anticipation of further trouble.

I also hear that due to the above, there will be a heavy bouncer/security presence in all pubs in the vicinity and they have been advised not to let groups of blokes in pubs, i.e. more than one bloke. I guess they just can't 'close' Birmingham like they can Wolverhampton.

Like I said, I am not 100% sure of the facts, so if anyone can shed any further light, great. Suffice to say, I was going to drink in the Square Peg as it has always been ok in there, but I am not now!
