A real suprise...
not jumping to conclusions, but my guess is either he's completely innocent, or serious provocation was involved - one of the nicest, most genuine guys in football...
Yup, couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Ho, ho, ho,....
Perhaps he was merely DIVING for cover
Captain Fantastic my ****
You can take a Scouser out of Liverpool but you can't take Liverpool out of a Scouser!
Hope they send the $$$$er down.
From the Manc fans last night...
Ste Gerrard Gerrard..
He punches a man on the chest
And puts up a bail request...
Ste Gerrard Gerrard
"It remains unclear what exactly happened at the popular celebrity nightspot, but one report has suggested that Gerrard and a group of his friends got involved in an altercation after the DJ refused to allow them to choose the songs played on the venue's sound system. Gerrard is a big fan of Phil Collins and counts the singer's greatest hits as his favourite album."
I support the DJ!!!
Horrible little hypocrite.
Seconded on that Hereford.
Guess it might solve the lampard v gerrard question
Great player, not quite as good a guest?
Nothing like having a fair Trial.
Judged and sentence passed by a bunch of web mongs
What's the source article for that - surely that is a $$$$take - it looks like a wind up Wikipedia entry!
You missed out the word "jealous".
if he got a slap on the wrist... (caution/fine) then thats not being treated different to anyone else??
most people would get that for common assualt with no previous...
he certainly wouldnt get a custodial sentence for it for a 1st offence, even if he was found guilty...
Trivia quiz time:
What have Jimmy Kelly, Joey Barton and Stephen Gerrard all have in common?
(all celebrity love in posters please note that there are several answers available)
This made me laugh i cant stand scousers or Liverpool seeing him go down for a while and knock their title chasing season down to size would just be great to see ! It would shut a good few fake scousers round here up aswell.
Absolutely correct! How many times do we read or hear of incidents when the police can't be bothered to turn up, yet because it's someone well known they turn up; arrest everyone; keep them in custody for 24 hours and it's all over the news.
What exactly was the purpose of keeping Gerrard in a police cell - did they think he would disappear, go out and assault someone else immediately, change his identity or just not turn up when he was supposed to?
I know a local policeman who has told me that there are instructions (allegedly) in one particular town that they are to keep away on Saturday nights at turning out time. This saves them having to arrest brawlers and keeps their violent crime figures down. Helps the government statistics apparently!
It will be interesting to see if Gerrards form suffers
Is it **** its a dive!
Or when someone famous gets burgled, all of a sudden there isn`t a manpower shortage or needed elsewhere..
Are you suggesting that Gerrard should have been let out of his cell, wouldn't that have been 'treating him different'
He'd have been kept in his cell whilst the officers were taking witness statements then when they'd got his solicitor ready and all the paperwork he'd have been interviewed, placed back into his cell whilst the other alleged offenders were interviewed then a decision would have been made on how to proceed with the case, in this instance he was charged and bailed to court.
I agree with you entirely Bilston..
My post was about why so many police seem to be available when it`s someone reporting a crime against themselves who is high profile and leaking although I appreciate that can be done by other parties at times for publicity etc, any comment about Eddie Clamptops allegations?
Firstly i'm not saying i don't believe him as he's every right to his opinion, secondly no police officer i've ever known has been told to stay away from the town centre at closing time infact Stations fairly local to me which have nightclubs on their OCU(Wolverhampton/Walsall) run specific operations to have more police there at closing time.
Steve Gerrard Gerrard
He Runs over Kids in Cars
He Glasses DJs in Bar Allegedly
Steve Gerrard Gerrard
He can't have many brain cells. Sky cameras were outside Mellwood Training Ground and Gerrard can be clearly seen driving along the road using his mobile-what a plonker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'genuine' as in diving cheating $$$$ ?
Because he was drunk as a Mother $$$$er. Before interviewing, the police have to wait for the person in question to sober up. They would have let him sleep his beer of before commencing with interview and all the other stuff like prints and mug shots.
Were you there?
Are you sure he was $$$$ed?
Or are you just summising because you can't go into a pub without getting $$$$ed
No, I wasn't there. The Fox and Fiddle is more me than the Lounge Inn.
I took it for granted that Captain fantastic was drunk. It is after all, the festive season. Gerrard had scored two goals that same day and was celebrating the Liverpool victory.
I'm sure he wasn't eating scratchings and playing subbuteo at that time in the morning.
A picture from the club showed gerrard at his table with half a lager in front of him. None of the reports refer to him being hammered, which even if he was remotely drunk would have been exaggerated.
I'm in agreement with glasgow on this, you are making assumptions.
And do you have to get drunk in the festive season? And do you have to get drunk to celebrate a win and goals?
It seems strange to me that people get hot under the collar over an alleged imcident involving Gerrard, yet this incident below appears to slip under the radar. I can't imagine why ......................
Q: The first 22-stone man to ride a Derby winner?
A: Stevie G's cell mate.
Actually, the correct answer is Lester Piggot's cell mate ...........................
Who is Lester Piggot? Must be from the old days..
Separate names with a comma.
