    Long overdue

It needs to also look at pricing, its wrong that to get to Burnley as an example that i have to split my ticket in 4 places to get the cheapest fare

Good news if something does happen. If I get an advance ticket it costs me £19. If we have to wait for sky to announce changes and I miss out on cheap train tickets then it’s £33. So that is a potential extra £266 over the season.

Be careful what you wish for. I dip into a rail forum and the view there is that the companies will seek to get rid of the issue you mention by charging more for the four tickets, not decreasing the one....

I am prepared to bet that this is still dearer than advance tickets

The price of trains, £33 for a one hour journey from Stockport to Wolverhampton is a **** take. On top of that they hardly ever check the tickets. I kept a record over last 10 games and they checked the ticket 6 times on way down but only 1 out of 10 on way back. I’m sure the price is so high because a lot of people don’t pay and so those that do are subsidising them.
Still better then driving and sitting on M6 for hours.
