Hi all I've just booked my tickets for the Leeds game and I'm trying to work out exactly where I'll be sitting in SL5. Could one of you point me in the right direction? I have a seat number but can't find a detailed seating lay out.

Me and a mate will be traveling from Hayle in Cornwall so it's a long old trip but really looking forward to this as I've only ever sat in the billy wright.

Any other advise on drinking places and eating woud be welcomed, we will arrive 2-3 hours before kick off and staying in the city center.

    Thanks in advance

This is however normally the designated away pub and its Leeds at home, 5.30 on a bank holiday!
There's a huge selection of town centre pubs (assuming police don't insist on closing them). Most get very full within a couple of hours of kick off though. Is food your priority of beer?

Incidentally in SL5 much of the pitch is to your right and you may be low down (later letters in alphabet are further back). View should be good when the games at the South bank end but you can get some odd optical effects when plays at the other end. You should see all the play, there is no restricted view. Expect to stand up all match though.

I would say beer is the main priority isn't it always :) getting away from the family for a day and having a great day out is the main goal as well as soaking up the local atmosphere so want to find the best places with this in mind.

Thanks for the replys so far, I've never been out in the city before as I've had family with me, so any advice is appreciated.

Also SL5 will be a good transition from the BW, not too boisterous down there! Work your way gradually towards S1 if you like the noise!

The Stile is good for pre match drink but always full.....the Sunbeam is a superb pint

I am in SL4......so I will be down and to your right as you look at the pitch.....look for someone knee high making some noise

The Stile is the complete opposite side of the ground to the City, don't go there. Go somewhere like the George Wallace, they have loads of screens for the football on before & you can get some food if you need to.

Hi. rswoza, it's got to be the goalpost (lounge 107 as its called now) opposite the ground Stan Cullis, great atmosphere, cheap food, 2 minute walk to your turnstile. Get in there

Okay, but there are better light ales out there.

Isn't the pub just up from the station the designated away pub now?

Thanks guys, I'm a tribute man or Betty stogs, but my favourite is banks mild always has been, very difficult to get down here on draught.

Ill bare in mind all of the suggestions, keep an eye out for a Cornwall flag in the southbank. It's a black back ground with a white cross for those that don't know.

Quite like the sound of this sunbeam and I have heard of the goalpost pub so we will see were we end up.

Oggy oggy oggy oy oy oy!
