Not seen one of these yet surprisingly. Must be the Christmas thing.

With the exception of Elokobi (and possibly Matty but it's been that long most will have forgotten him) it looks like we could finally field our strongest 11 against Sheff. United.

    Hennessey
    Foley, Stearman, Mancieenne, S .Ward
    Kightly, Henry, D.Jones, Jarvis,
    Ebanks-Blake, Iwelumo

Subs : Ikeme, Collins, D.Edwards, Keogh, Vokes.

A bit hard on Collins considering he was MotM in the reverse fixture and at Doncaster last weekend but I just feel Mancienne offers more guile and awareness plus he reads the game much better. Collins does offer more of an aerial threat and has a stronger build to cope with Blades battering ram strikers but that's my opinion of the starting 11.

I think for the reasons you state Collins will be in the team and Mancienne on the bench - otherwise Mick's play for the shirt policy is in tatters. I doubt Jarvis will start either now that Kightly's suspended for the Blackpool game which pretty much guarantees Jarvo a start in a few days time. I reckon he'll play either Edwards/Keogh/Gray out left and bring Jarvo on at half time (if necessary).

Collins came in for Stearman at the last minute (not literally) against Swansea, but was put back on the bench for Cardiff.

I would start Jarvis as he needs a good 60 mins incase we need him for the full 90 v Blackpool. Collins deserves to start tomorrow and Ward will continue at left back.

The only real question mark will be who plays out of Jones and Edwards. Edwards seems to play well at Molineux but will we need Jones' set pieces against a very strong and physical side?

I don't think Edwards has done enough to keep Jones out. For me Edwards is better as an impact player off the bench, and if you're right and Jarvis starts then he's the man to come on after 60 mins...

Apart from the Collins / Mancienne debate are we agreed that this is our strongest starting 11 available?

what sort of ref have we got today, will he crack down on the crunchers early or will the game be broken up by loads of meaningless freekicks and finger wagging? hope he gets to grip with it immediately as we are at our best when we can play free flowing football.
