As requested, I supplied a list of questions/points that I intended to raise at the 11th Feb meeting on your behalf to Paul Richards at Wolves, they were (brief summary):-

    1) Congratulations to the club on how well they handled the Sir Jack tribute.
    2) Financial Fair play- why are we in favour of scrapping it.
3)Booking fees for away games and 5% fee received by Wolves?
4)Video screens and Sir Jack banner
5)Club website- not updated re Youth activity
6)OAP concessions to kick in at 60
    7)PA Sound system Quality
    8)Electronic advertising boards
9)Subsidised local travel on production of match ticket
    10)Billy Wright concourse- un-navigable
11)Away fans should be located in NB Quadrant
    12)Employed staff -living wage

    HOWEVER,

I received an e mail back from Paul Richards on 5/2, 9.15am which read:-

"This is my first day back since the funeral and have seen the list of points you wish to raise. In light of the fact that this will be the Financial Report presentation, can you reduce this to 2/3 important ones please, which I need by lunchtime today if possible?"

    therefore I have replied,

Booking fees for away games WHY? When we get 5% of sales.
    Video screens
    Website

so apologies , hopefully the other questions may be asked by other members, if we have time I'll ask them anyway.

Thanks Dudley. Appreciate it is probably too late to change but given we already know the answers on video screens (sorry Edgmond) and the website (outsourced, we'll try our best etc), could I recommend:

    1. Sir Jack Funeral (perhaps sneaking in a related question about the banners);
    2. Away Booking Fees
    3. Employee Living Wage.

Thanks for your efforts and keeping us updated.

I must have missed this but 'Billy Wright concourse un-navigable'? How reliant on sat-nav have the old duffers in there become?! Have they tried getting out of the South Bank from the bottom 10 rows?

Thanks for your efforts Dudley - video screens are something not that expensive that could be changed - pathetic that we have them but not working for God knows how long!

Not sure the point in asking about video screens, they ain't gonna happy anytime soon.

Some of the funds for the stand including video screen were diverted for Moxeys Gastro Pub (flop)

Though i agree, we must be the only club to build an £18M stand and scrap the video screen.

Perhaps we can come to some arrangement and borrow Walsall's when they're not playing at home.

Joking surely? Completely ignoring the question about safe standing? Not even in YOUR list of questions? What is the point of having a Fan's Parliament Rep for this forum who doesn't ask the questions put forward by the members? Completely confirms my suspicions that the whole Parliament is an $$$$ kissing exercise and always has been. Why do we have to submit questions in advance? If this is the "Financial Report Presentation" then why not have the Parliament after this or just leave extra time to fit it in? Why do the representatives of the fans have to take less priority? The whole thing just stinks to me.

More to the point, did anyone think it was ever anything other than a waste of time? Purely cosmetic exercise to give the impression of engaging with the fanbase, total waste of time.

2 or 3 questions from an online forum of anonymous people is pretty good.
There are other people with questions as well.
But yes, it's a consultation forum so the club can say the fans have had an input, nothing like the sort of decision-making Parliament that SJH trumpeted initially before he was "got to", after the initial wacky idea of having supporters on the board or selling the club to supporters.
A sop for a sop for a sop.
I think they called it a Parliament because they reckoned the fans would be too stupid to realise how they'd invented a new meaning for the word.

When it was first setup people did, they were clamouring to go and be part of the Parliament.
In fact, they raised the membership issue and held an open democratic vote on Molineux Mix, which was probably the only truly democratic thing that's happened !

Afraid I totally agree, the club are just going through the motions to say we "consult with the fans". Yes complete cosmetic exercise.
That said thanks to Dudley Wolf for making the effort to raise concerns and how we the fans believe improvements can be made. Sadly when the meeting is over the club officials will walk away forget everything that has been said and say that will do, done our bit and listened to them over until next time

Are you (or any member for that matter) able to give me any data on the 92 clubs and how their concessions work ? at what age they kick in? it would be a more powerful argument if I could point out that most clubs start at 60 and we are an exception !

    No mention on safe standing?

Last I looked (can't say I looked at every response) it seemed to be one of the most popular things people of this board mentioned.
**Edit** Just checked the thread, 4 mentions of safe standing compared to 1 of the billy wright concourse (not picking on that just the example I used). Can I ask why that made your list but Safe Standing didn't?

The parliments a joke anyway to be honest. Questions (limited) sent in advance, they could just send round an email with their responses, save a bit on the free drinks and sarnies.

Tring, does this refer to staff employed at Molineux.. in lower paid jobs, sales, security, turnstile staff etc?

There are other people apart from Molineux Mix that are represented at the meeting by the way, and the odds are that all of those questions missed will be asked by one of them....

I defintitely think the booking fees should be asked as Jez explicitly said at the last meeting we receive no income from selling tickets but the football leagues own rules and regulations contradict him so he should be challenged on whether he lied to the parliament or got his facts wrong.

Additionally if he based his reasoning on applying the booking fee to away tickets on us getting no revenue then perhaps he should reconsider the booking fee on away tickets or at least make it more reasonable and per transaction rather than per ticket.

    I've given up.

I mention it everytime there is a thread gathering suggestions for the next parliament meeting and it is easily by far the most suggested yet it's ignored every single time for the same stupid questions that have already been answered/batted away by those answering.

For the last parliament (one before last maybe) it looked like we had finally managed to get safe standing to be discussed properly and I created a poll to give our rep statistics and views to back it up that were overwhelmingly in favour yet from the mins it looks as though no proper debate was made.

Safe standing is clearly a hugely important issue in English football as is Financial Fair Play.

Personally I find it offensive that all clubs (certainly in the top two divisions) don't pay the living wage. There cant be too many industries that a) pay such a high percentage of turnover as wages and b) have such a big discrepancy between highest and lowest paid employees.

Nothing can be done about safe standing, we are not starting on the ground anyway & even so the Steve Bull is first & that won't be terraced.

The same for the bloody screens, I couldn't care less about them. I arrive at 2:59, go for a $$$$ at half time, leave 20 seconds after the final whistle.

A huge amount of progress has been made in the last year or two and many clubs are now engaging fans and even supporting them and the campaign.

A few years ago our club looked to be one of those taking the lead on the issue but now it is significantly gaining momentum they've stood well back and kept silence.

Makes me wonder if they saw it as a chance of a good bit of PR believing that it wouldn't get anywhere.

Well knowing Wolves stance on it would be a start.

As Sedgley says there was some talk of them supporting it way back but since the campaigns actually moved forward (nd looks like it could even become a reality) they've gone very quiet.

Despite many of us bombarding Paul ... (forgot his name the supporter liason) we were never told how Wolves as a club voted on the 4 questions relating to it sent from the league.

Would there be any plans to convert any part of the ground? Would this only be done as part of the redevelopment or could it be done as seperate?

Those would be the sort of questions I'd be asking as well as advising the club that the vast majority (over 80%) of MolMix agree with Safe Standing.

Maybe if OUR REPRESENTATIVE needed clarification as such he/she could have asked instead of ommiting it from the list despite being more popular than issues that were included.

How did the club vote in the FL members vote on safe standing would be a start.

Then why, when pretty much every other club made their fans aware of the vote didn't we?

I'd also like to know why the club did not feel it appropriate to invite fans opinions on the issue prior to their decision - something an awful lot of the other clubs did - some even handed their fans the vote.

and finally why the club still haven't disclosed how they voted, many others have and as the club are apparently keen to rebuild a relationship and trust between them and us you'd think they'd be far more open now.

Just a few questions to get the debate going, then of course we could move on to if the club are doing anything like many are in support? Do they have any preparations for it should the law change? if they aren't, why aren't they when overwhelmingly the fans are in support of the option to safe stand *see our molmix poll*

Much better than the usual, ticket prices are too high, attendances too low or $$$$ing video screens - which clearly must be some private joke that got old 2 years ago.

  38. It'll be interesting to see how defunct the Taylor Report becomes after the Hillsborough inquest has reported. Suspect any movement then would come from National Supporters Associations. Safe standing and cash on the turnstiles would be highly popular IF they can do it safely.

If we are going to include proper questions for the next one can I please suggest asking those in charge for their views on the FSF's £20s plenty campaign?

It's something that some clubs have already taken to outside of the PL and are agreeing between themselves to charge a maximum of £20 to away fans for when their clubs play each other.

Why haven't we approached these groups of clubs so we could possibly be included and save some of our most loyal fans a few quid?
