We are being linked with him today. Argentine striker playing in Ligue 1 in France. Eleven goals in twelve games.

Certainly has more of a box presence than Jimbo.....could make a decent enhancement alternative for Plan A.

I wonder if we can loan him until the end of the season, low risk but could provide the fire power we are missing.

Got on the end of some good team moves but does he link the attack like we need? You just can't tell that from vids that only show goals, so I am sitting on the fence, as it looks like the goals were made for him rather than made by him.

    This sounds VERY promising.
Can't wait to see his name on the team sheet.

We would have to pay mega money to bring someone in that could do both real well.

In our current position it won't happen not least because a target of that quality likely wouldn't come.

Best we can probably do is see someone like this as an alternative option off the bench to suit game situations.

I wonder how close we are to breaching FFP ? does anyone know what sort of " buffer" we have ? It's OK for City, United etc to keep spending millions but surely little old Wolves will fall foul if we dare try and get anywhere near them ?

He has never gone for big money before now, only cost Nantes 1 million euros, approx 18 months left on his contract, scored roughly 1 goal every two games pre nantes, for Nantes its about 1 in 3... could be a cheapish option, obviously a loan with option to buy would be the way we go..

If memory serves me, we had a poster on here show we are pretty close to what we can spend atm. This is due to new prem teams being restricted in how much they can spend compared to longer standing prem teams over the rolling 3 year period.

This is why Fulham could outspend us in the summer, They spent less in the previous 2 championship seasons than we did, giving them more wiggle room this year compared to us.

Indeed, how any band can go from Signing Off and Present Arms in 1980-81 to Cherry Oh Baby and Red Red Wine in 1983? I loved The Damned, but when Captain Sensible did HappyTalk, Wot and Glad It's All Over, it was all over. Bowie 'Dancing in the Streets', etc.
The days the music died. Anyway back to Sala!

I remember a friend of a friend went to live in Coventry back in the day, we were all ex-Highfields, around 1983 I reckon, and we got invited to a party in the house he was living in. 'There'll be a lot of black people there', he told us, 'Are you okay with that?'

Well we went and as he said it was basically a black party with a very small number of whiteys (us). There was lots of beer and lots of spliff and a massive great sound system and I well remember Red Red Wine booming out from the speaker stacks, don't think the music was dying there.

    Just sayin'....

We're probably ok for one or two more players around this type of value. The simple thing for Sala though is we could just use the money Stoke are going to give us for Afobe ;)

Fair enough. Musical preference is a personal thing. For me seeing a band shift from Tyler, King and Earth Dies Screaming to Rat In Me Kitchen and I Got U Babe, was just disappointing. Interestingly, it also fits chronologically with Wolves' demise!

Maybe you've just not opened up to it yet, there are many different styles of Hip-Hop, some of which I'm sure if you gave a try you'd actually like.

Whoops yeah sorry I seem to be complicit in causing a thread about a player to morph into one about the decline of eighties music.

Back on topic, he would certainly seems an interesting prospect, get him on loan Nuno.

Considering it's a mix of old soul, rock, jazz and pretty much every other genre ever invented, I've always questioned when people say it's rubbish. Says to me you don't really know too much about rap or hip hop so you dismiss it.

We've got to be close to FFP otherwise we would have bought Dendonker rather than just loaned with an obligation to buy. We'll probably just do the same if we want anyone.

Indeed, Music is all about the listener.

I can't stand most radio played pop and opera. Doesn't mean it's ****, just doesn't do anything for me. Guess it's what your ears are fine tuned to...

A little like art in many ways.

Looks a very instinctive type of goalscorer. I wouldn’t be surprised if bigger clubs were looking at him.

FFP in the PL is more about wages than signing fees. Even after the spend in the summer I doubt we have not left room for upgrades this Jan. Fosun are too well planned to leave themselves restricted, and we were still chasing much bigger targets last summer who we didn't sign.
