£299 season tickets in S1/SL1/S5/SL5. On the right track, but not a complete winner yet.

Good news for me being in SL1 but why haven't they made the whole of the South Bank £299?

Yet another great opportunity that they have managed to screw up, imagine sitting on the edge of S(L)2/4 and the bloke across the stairs is paying £46 less than you!

I've waned on my S/T for the past couple of years. The Early Bird open to all is a good move but I don't feel tempted back as yet. I guess I want to see more ambition at the top before I wave goodbye to £400.

Oh great, So for me to renew my exsisting seat in S3 i have to pay more than someone in S1/SL1/S5/SL5??? Should we not ALL be £299 ???
It's one stand, it should be one price!

They even find a way of doing a good thing and cocking it up! How can the wings of one stand be cheaper than others? Stupid

....that supporting the Club is like being on a roller coaster, whether it be for the 90 minutes, a season or their lifetime as a supporter. So that is the chosen theme for this year’s Early Bird campaign with fans invited to #EnjoyTheRide and see Kenny’s team of young and talented squad develop their brand of exciting football during the 2015/16 Season.

Chosen theme?? Exciting brand of football??

    Who writes this drivel??

Due to the flawed advertising this has already created a PR balls up, already had several texts saying our season tickets are £299 for next season.

Not wanting to start a row Penk but why should he? I can understand the point Smokey makes.

Overall think it at least seems to club are making an effort but they really do need to brush up on some things.

The article says "lower corners of the Jack Harris" so i'm not sure all of SL1/SL5 will qualify and surely none of S1/S5

Well, it's up to him, moan and stay where he is or move and pay cheaper. Depends which is most important to him, I suppose.

Wolves put out cheaper season tickets and people still moan. Got to love Wolves fans.

I think the club have done the right thing by discounting the South Bank wings and offering a cheaper way to watch Wolves. Pretty sure the South Bank will be full all next season now. Should have offered the same in the North Bank though for those fans who dont want to stand up.

Overall a big plus from me (and I dont have a seat in S1 or S5!)

The stairs aren't the border, so it'll be someone in the next seat to some people.

Know what you mean Penk and can't disagree with you point as such but it does raise the question of why is it a different price?

And yes we do like a moan.:D

I like SL1 as the atmosphere is normally good, but the views are not the best (relatively).

I don't think it is a great idea though because someone is literally going to be sitting next to someone else paying £46 extra. Also when the crowds are smaller we will end up with a funny arrangement with a block of seats full and then gaps to the rest of the fans in the same stand. I don't think they will sell many extras on this, it will just be people who are more price sensitive moving to the corners.

I presume matchday prices will be the same for al seats in the South Bank?

They've introduced a cheaper band of season ticket, which should benefit us as it will potentially bring more into the ground. Regardless of how many it's open to lowering the price of the cheapest season ticket can only be a good thing, surely?

Personally, I think they should have made the corners of the BW the same as the SB/NB.

But thats the whole point of offering cheaper tickets. It offers a way for any hard pressed fans who are price sensitive or cant otherwise afford a ticket.

i wouldn't move into the lower corners just to save £46 as i think its a horrible view, but think its a good idea to try to reduce the harder selling seats

    Agreed.

Think it's one of these situations that no matter what the club done there would be complaints.

I sit on the top row of SL1 about half a dozen seats from SL2, where the line of demarcation is mid-block not the aisles. Anyway this just further vindicates our move from the hideous North Bank rebuild.

To quote Miles Hunt "Welcome to the cheap seats".

The club don't normally impress me with 85-90% of what they do but have to say agree some people are just moaning for moaning sake.

While I personally think the club (and football on a whole) has a long long way to go on pricing, the fact that we have even a limited amount of seats cheaper than I expected (the normally prices are roughly what I think most expected) can only be a step in the right direction.

One day maybe we'll have a much larger safe standing area priced at similar reduced rates :D

They should do it for the BW wings as well. they are always empty and no one in their right mind will pay over £460 for a season ticket there

Why should i have to move seat? Been sat in that seat for last 6 years.

My point is, If we have one stand, it should be 1 price.
I'm happy not to sit in SL1, used to sit in SL5 and it was a shocking view, hence waiting until a seat became available in middle and took that one.

Thing is though, these aren't harder selling though are they?? The South Bank is always first to sell out and must have 95%+ occupancy this season even though our overall ground occupancy has only been around 70%.

It could well actually have a detrimental impact on matchday sales (and revenue) as there's likely to be very, very few tickets remaining to non STH's in the South Bank and I doubt people would then stump up extra for the Steve Bull or BW.

Don't know the ins and outs of it, but read the headline that

"Early bird frozen at 2012/13 rates".

Does that mean they have gone up from last year?

Wolves have asked about different prices in different blocks in the past two surveys. I can only guess that the majority of fans disagree with you (or Wolves have gone totally against the fans wishes but why would they have asked in the first place if so).

I don't mind it as long as its used as a way of meaning the cheapest prices are cheaper and not the other way round.

I may be thick but if they are frozen at 12/13 rates how have they gone up if I will be paying £405 as I have this season or is it because we had a rebate last season?
