Seeing as our press team are unlikely to be putting together anything for a new signing today, according to Jackett, anyone know when they are releasing the Early Bird information?

There is a parliament meeting on the 11th, so my guess is the 12th

Its usually the 2nd week in Feb and you usually have about 4 weeks to purchase it.

After yet another $$$$ transfer window I for one will not be renewing. Will wait till the summer before deciding. At the moment think I'll focus on away games. 40 minutes to be proved wrong.

Shove the early bird. I'll wait until later in the summer. If the board can't be arsed then neither can I

So having complained vehemently about our lack of investment, how does the departure of an "exile" change your view?

You will be so missed :wavey:

I am renewing. That is where the club has me, well and truly. 54 years I have been going down the Wolves, just because we are upset at a lack of signings is not going to be enough to change my ways. I love the club and it is my life.

    It doesn't

I was always going to renew....

The lack of investment is tragic to be honest, we have showed zero intent

Glad to get rid of more dead wood

Will probably renew but the failure to at least try to push the club forward has given me something to think about.
If we fail to invest next season then that might be it. We could surely have strengthened a little, even 1 or 2 loans.

Sadly the club take advantage of good folk like you. Knowing they can promise and under deliver but they'll keep coming back.

If us poor deluded folk didn't renew there would probably be no club! Message boards don't fund transfers or fund the running of clubs!

I guess I can trump you and many others on years of blind devotion, even beat Walsall by 2/3 years:D.

Way I feel at the moment, will wait till the summer to see what level of intent is demonstrated by the Board. Will no doubt renew in the end, although as I qualify for senior tickets part way through next season probably best to purchase on a match to match basis.

Ultimately, prefer away games and the cost and time in travel is beginning to take its toll.

That'll show 'em. "I'm not taking your discounted ticket rate, I'm going to pay extra 4 months later, so take that".

    Nick

I too prefer away games and am in lucky position to share them with my son and some knowledgeable guys from Telford Wolves

The home games...well I have been in the same place for years and know most around me....a habit I know

Really $$$$ed at lack of intent....but it is in the blood

Thats a bit of a leap for me.

If they buy, some won't rate who they buy (as demonstrated by criticism of Afobe after only a couple of games)

If they buy and it doesn't work out, they are incompetent..what is Thelwelll doing.

If they buy big and it doesn't work out, they have given too long a contract and too high wages.

If they buy players from lower divisions, they are trying to do it on the cheap.

If they buy players from the Prem then they are journeymen looking for a payday

If we don't get a player we are rumoured to be in for (whether true or not) we didn't try hard enough

Yes I would like new players, but it's not a role I would relish doing myself, I mean how can you satisfy everyone?

I'm pretty certain we'll renew under the early bird. Even though I've been missing for a while the seats we have are too good to lose. Plus the people around us are sound.

I always thought you kept your seat until after early bird ? Arent they reserved until after the "main" renewal date?

Good post MRL. Sums it up perfectly. Whatever the club does someone will critisise. The key is making more good decisions than bad decisions.

If 2 or 3 out of 5 signings are deemed a success with the benefit of hindsight then a club is doing well. Whatever the budget range nobody has a 100% record of signings working out. All I ask from the club is competence when it comes to signings. Make sensible looking signings that have a good chance of working out (like Afobe) and avoid signings that have virtually no chance of working out (like the Hof). Jackett's record on signings is good so far.

Afobe on paper looks a good signing. He has yet to prove this on the pitch but if it fails to work out then I could at least look back and understand exactly why we signed him and why he looked a good option at the time we signed him. Personally I think he will come good.

Some of you are far more sensible, logical and discerning than I am.

Regarding renewal of my S/T, I don't have a decision to make as I love the Wolves and whenever they're playing I quite simply want to be there. Obviously I'm not in agreement with everything that happens at the club but through good times and bad, promotions and relegations, triumphs and disappointments I'll still keep going.

As soon as this season ends the start of the next one won't come soon enough for me, irrespective of our dealings in the transfer market. COYW.

I know I throw my toys out the pram, it is sheer frustration. I'm so disappointed, though it's not my money to spend is it.

I just feel as I get older and older, its always gonna be like this isnt it. And that depresses me. Think twenty years ago, it was the same, and I can see it being exactly the same in another twenty years.

I do not feel the club have the nous or foresight to take advantage of moments of opportunity - whether its Morgan, Moxey, or now I have lost a lot of faith in KJ who thinks we can mount a promotion challenge. I really hope I am eating my words on the last day of the season.

I think you have every right to be frustrated, look at our achievements over the past generation (30 years). Four seasons in the top flight, on which we have finished bottom twice and only once 'acheived' to gain a point per game from our top flight fixtures. In the cups it's no better, in 30 years we've achieved one FA Cup Semi Final and one League Cup Quarter Final. When you compare that to the previous 30 years of our proud history it's a pathetic record. It doesn't look like getting any better in the forseeable future.

We have won nothing of any real note for 55 years, absolute disgrace , and the current owners will never bring us anything either. We are a joke in every cup competition and light years behind our nearest and dearest. I said before and I'll say it again, the only people with any passion at all at the club are the fans

    Eight promotions?
It's not been as pathetic as your summary makes out.
